Good morning from Tucson! If you are running at the Coyote Classic Fast CAT this weekend, I want to introduce myself! My name is Charlotte and I will be your photographer for all four days of Fast CAT.

There are a few things you can do to help me get the best photos of your dogs that I can:

- Stand further back from the finish line. The closer your dog gets to me, the better the photos are. This also helps most dogs get faster times!

- Stand on the opposite side of the line from me. If we are on the same side, I might be taking photos of your legs and not your dogs!

- Tell me ahead of time if your dog grabs the bag. That way I can back up and try to capture photos of your dog catching the bunny!

A lot of people apologize if their dog comes over to investigate me and I just want to say, please don't feel bad if your dog comes over to me to say hi! I want to write something profound. I want to write something important. I want to be a role model. I want to hold space for every emotion that our joyful warriors are feeling right now.

But I am numb. Truly numb—my body is protecting me by not letting me feel sadness, anger, fear, and the many other emotions I know are coming. The one emotion breaking through is HOPE.

There was so much joy during Harris’ campaign, and she was right to call us joyful warriors. We will be joyful warriors again.

Please, hold space for all your feelings. But make sure to allow hope to break through too.

About a year ago, I made a personal policy of not talking politics on this page anymore. I needed to protect my peace and the distress online political discussion caused me was affecting my ability to do the work offline. This personal policy is not going to change, but make no mistake that I am committed to doing the work offline, and if you need a safe person to come to, I will be here, online or off.

Only one Fast CAT left in the season! It’s not for another week and a half, so I have a little extra time to breathe and get caught up!

That said, I have seen your emails and video requests and I will be spending tomorrow catching up on them! If you are waiting for a response from me, thank you SO much for your patience with me this busy season, and I promise you’ll hear from me tomorrow!

I am trying to video each dog's second run of the day, so long as I was able to get enough photos from their first run (I'm a photographer, first and foremost!).
