"It's a Wonderful Life" 2021 cancelled - new production next year

In consideration of those who have suffered as a result of the recent devastating hurricanes and storms along the Gulf coast and subsequently across the north-east, as well as the ongoing pandemic, the Board of The NOLA Voice Talent Foundation has decided not to proceed with our annual Christmas fund-raising production this year, 2021.

We have produced the radio-play version of "It's a Wonderful Life" as a production workshop and an annual fund-raiser no fewer than TWELVE TIMES since the formation of The NOLA Voice Talent Foundation in 2009, and this will be the first year we will have missed this hugely-popular event which has raised thousand of dollars in support of the community. In addition, we have also decided to "retire" "It's a Wonderful Life" and begin a new production in 2022, which we know everyone will enjoy immensely. So watch this space for further news, and we look forward very much to your support - whether as cast and crew or as audience members.

Incidentally, last year's production raised just shy of $1,000, so we are pleased to announce that the Foundation has donated $1200 to Habitat for Humanity in support of victims of the recent hurricanes. Thank you to everyone for your support in this magnificent effort and of the continuing efforts of The NOLA Voice Talent Foundation.

To celebrate the 12th anniversary of the formation of The NOLA Voice Talent Foundation, ALL PAID-UP SUNSCRIPTION MEMBERS of the Foundation on AUGUST 31st will be entered into a draw to win one of three microphone sets.

Please note the following guidelines:
i) If you are ALREADY a Paid-Subscription Member of The NOLA Voice Talent Foundation, and your last subscription was AFTER August 31st of last year, you don't need to do anything as your renewal isn't yet due.

ii) If you are a Paid-Subscription Member of The NOLA Voice Talent Foundation, and your last subscription payment was made BEFORE September 1st of last year, you will need to RENEW YOUR SUBSCRIPTION, if you haven't already done so, to qualify for the Member draw.

iii) If you joined The NOLA Voice Talent Foundation BEFORE subscriptions were introduced, you will need to SUBSCRIBE as a paid-up Member, if you haven't already done so, to qualify for the Member draw. (If you have any problems renewing, please open a new Membership; this will also automatically provide you with a Membership Number.)

iv) If you are currently not a PAID-UP SUBCRIPTION Member, you need to JOIN NOW, to qualify for the Member draw.

PAID-UP SUBSCRIPTION MEMBERS receive a plethora of member benefits, including advance notice of workshops and other events. Annual Membership Subscription is ONLY THREE DOLLARS ($3) A YEAR... and only TWO DOLLLARS A YEAR of you are also a Paid-up Member of the Unions of SAG-AFTRA or Equity

CASTING DIRECTOR MAE CHAPMAN TO HOST FIRST NVT SUMMER SEMINAR SERIES

Louisiana Casting Director MAE CHAPMAN kicks of a series of affordable summer seminars presented by guest speakers, hosted by The NOLA Voice Talent Foundation.

The NOLA Voice Talent Foundation is and always has been about the performer first and foremost, from all areas of the movie and related industries, so the summer series will feature three guest speakers from different areas of the industry. Future speakers are yet to be announced.

The seminars will provide information and practical advice on all aspects of each speaker's area of expertise and are designed to be interactive: Mae Chapman's presentation will be held on SATURDAY June 26th (10.30am - 12.30pm) and will include information on how to present a monologue, video auditioning, and a host of other elements to help performers to improve their auditioning experience.

Admission for each seminar is only $50 ($40 for Members of SAG-AFTRA and Equity). Sessions will be interactive via Zoom and open to performers worldwide, with NOLA Voice Talent registered subscription members receiving priority notice of booking.
