Since childhood, when my little brother couldn't pronounce "Elizabeth," I've embraced this nickname. It's a reflection of my busy, vibrant life, now dedicated to sobriety and helping others. From an early age, inspired by the likes of Barbara Walters, I knew I was destined for a career in communication. I graduated from George Washington University with a degree in Communications, which led me to
various roles at a CBS affiliate in Philadelphia. I thrived in my job, but my love for drinking nearly derailed my career. As one candidly put it, "you have loose lips" when you drink. That was a wake-up call. Post-career hiccup, I pivoted towards entrepreneurship. After achieving sobriety, a friend suggested I become a Recovery Coach. I took the certification, started my practice, and found success. But my heart yearned for more; I wanted to shout from the rooftops about the joys of sobriety, to demystify alcoholism, and to eradicate the stigma. Thus, "Let’s Talk" was born. I spoke at churches and halls, aiming to touch just one life at a time. My journey took an unexpected turn when invited to a round table in Philadelphia by my attorney. There, I met Michelle Pujadas, Founder and co-CEO of Zer0 to 5ive, who believed in my vision and helped launch my podcast in 2017. Now, 7 ½ years later, Busy Living Sober stands as a testament to my 17 years of sobriety. Here, I share not just my journey but also my life as a mother, wife, and seeker of spiritual peace. I firmly believe that without a higher power, true peace is elusive. Why the Spoonbill? This bird, with its striking pink hue, symbolizes peace—a quest we all undertake. When I first saw one, I thought it was a dream. Now, it's my logo, a daily reminder of the tranquility we all seek. On my podcast, I delve into stories from fascinating individuals, believing these narratives can inspire and guide others towards their own peace and love. My mission is clear: No one should feel isolated or ashamed of their journey. I'm here to connect, to share, and to uplift. Enjoy the content, and remember, I'm always here to respond. Drop me a line; I cherish every message. XO,
Elizabeth
