Scammers. One of the most hated people in business nowadays. They prey upon the weak and the desperate, without any regard to that person's feelings. I almost got scammed this morning, thankfully I am very leery of all the scams going on nowadays. Nevertheless, I gave him more info than I needed to and saw the red flags before I decided to act on them. I have been working as a Supervisor at Bealls Outlet for far too long, and I was hoping for the chance, any chance to use my degree and climb out of the pit of debt that I find myself in. Sadly (and pretty obviously) this was not true. After talking with him for a bit, I checked out his profile, and his credentials weren't anywhere near able to offer what he was claiming to be able to offer. And yet, still, I answered all his questions, thinking "Maybe he can deliver". Until the ball dropped. Asking for money to do auditions and applications is an immediate stopping point for me. I blocked and reported his profile (finally, although I should have done it sooner) So, be careful out there. Scammers are everywhere, and they don't care how broke or desperate to work you are. All they care about is separating you from what little hard-earned money you have.

As some of you may know, I started back to Full Sail in February, as part of the ACE program. It didn't cost me anything, and the marketing insights I've learned over the past 4 months have been invaluable. Armed with my new knowledge, I have not only increased my Google search presence but also started to drive traffic to my website, through the use of a blog. Fairly simple ideas, and easy to maintain, yet my engagement rate has increased by 2000% in the last 60 days. I went from just having an account, to actively maintaining it so that my reach will increase. I will post blogs on social media marketing very shortly, just in case others want to learn how to better market themselves on social media. And, no, I won't charge for this service, education should be free, and we should always try to lift our fellow artists to be the very best they can be. Thanks to everyone for following, and I love you all!!!

Interviewed for a film composer job today, gone are the days where you can actually meet with someone and chat about life experiences, it was literally a virtual chat where I sent my portfolio links and introduced myself through typing. It was really depressing, tbh. You work hard to get ahead, go to school, and most of the time get passed over, due to the automation of hiring and firing in the modern world.
