1 Peter 4:10
As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
Do you know what your spiritual gifts are? Do you have the gift prophecy or discernment? Are you a teacher? Perhaps you have the gift of hospitality. There are multiple examples of the spiritual gifts found in the Scriptures. If you are unsure and want to further look at what the Word offers, you can find more about these gifts in Romans 12, Ephesians 4, and 1 Corinthians 12.
Whatever your gift is, whatever your natural talents and tendencies, may you use them to serve others well. Nothing in this life is meant to be hoarded and selfishly kept. We know that the kingdom of God is moving outward, constantly expanding its reach, not erecting walls to keep others out. How does this movement show up in your life? Who is affected by your generosity? Take some time with the Lord today and ask for greater wisdom and insight in how to live a charitable life with what you have. The Spirit of wisdom is your counselor, and he will give you direction.
Merciful Father, thank you for the generosity of your love in my life. As I consider what you have so freely given me, I want to represent you well in service to others. Please, show me how this is already happening. Give me insight into how to love others well through the gifts I have been given.
