Also fun fact…a year ago at thanksgiving I did a dna test to find my biological father and turns out he’s a Christmas(he’s deceased) but his biological dad’s last name is Christmas ! ! How wild and I can’t wait to share more as well but for now …Christmas is a part of who I am 🎄🎅❤️.

Friday vibes ✨

Ok guys, apparently more than half of y’all believe in aliens 👽 ✌🏻 back story, if you didn’t catch my stories yesterday…I had shared a photo I took of the half moon but it also has 2 squiggly lines inside that looked like something else was there. My husband thought it was a light reflection but I wasn’t convinced so naturally we took it to insta to decide 😂 and turns out majority rules 👽 aliens!

Im dying lol but for those of you that didn’t catch our story or didn’t vote …let us know what you think…are we alone …do you believe in aliens? Leave us a comment and let us know!

Neither one of us are really big into celebrating our birthdays but this year we both hit the big 40! So we are definitely going to celebrate him this weekend and have all the fun and good times!

Santa clause is coming to town …

Only 3 more days till Christmas! I can’t believe how fast it’s gone by! Who’s ready and who’s in panic mode? Not even Amazon can save you now…but target pick up for the win 😂 (not sponsored , we just love target ! )

What’s the one big request or hot ticket item your kids want? My kids are so hard to shop for cause they don’t really have a ton of request …but the one thing my girls go crazy for and really want is…LOL dolls! I really don’t get the hype but hey they love them!

It’s begging to look a lot like Christmas!

I can’t believe thanksgiving is a week way! Who’s ready and who’s traveling for thanksgiving?

Today , I’m just reflecting on the last 2 months and how thankful I am for all the support and patience from clients. Hurricane Ian did a lot of destruction to our beaches and since then we have had to relocate to nearby beaches for sessions and then came Nicole and she did a number on our already vulnerable beaches:( my heart breaks for all the residents and business impacted by both Ian and Nicole. Daytona beach has my heart, it’s a second home to me…it’s my happy place and I sure do miss it lately but we’ve been making the most and enjoying finding new beautiful areas to shoot in!

Rest assured we are still making magic on the beach and Daytona will recover in time ✨

We can’t let today go by with our expressing how thankful we are to our veterans but also as a military spouse …I’d like to send a big hug to their supporting family’s ❤️ thank you for your service , dedication and sacrifice.

If you’ve had a session with us then you know just how supportive this man is. My husband is a Marine Veteran who served our country with dedication and pride but also is just as dedicated to our business and clients.

He’s the kind of man that’s not boastful unless it’s the Marine Corps birthday (yesterday ) which BTW happy 247th birthday Devil Dogs 🎉 and in that case they don’t stop talking about it and celebrating with pride for days or weeks to come but so well deserved 😉❤️ but dedicated with a huge heart to serve.

He did 3 deployments , 2 to Iraq where he was injured in a IED during a convoy and 1 to Afghanistan when we were married. He now suffers from a TBI (traumatic brain injury ) which can cause memory loss, nerve damage and more but also struggles with PTSD. We send our men and women off to war but very often forget that the war comes home with them. With that being said I believe we have a lot to improve on with our VA support for veterans and their family members especially family support and we need more acceptance and awareness on ptsd and how to support veterans and their family’s. I’m extremely proud of my husband for committing to his continued healing and journey . It is not always easy as he’s seen things and been places we can’t even imagine but it’s a honor to support and be a part of this military family. So if you are a veteran struggling alone please reach out for help , your brother and sisters are here for you and there are tons of services . Also if your a family member to a service member and need support please don’t hesitate to reach out, the vet center is also a good resource and there’s a great foundation called give a hour that professionals in communities donate their time and services for therapy to military and their family’s.

The face of most Floridians as we anxiously wait for Hurricane Nicole …

How’s everyone doing? Hanging in there ? This is so crazy! 2 hurricanes in less than 2 months. Tell me what’s your favorite hurricane snack to grab and and anyone else blowing through their snacks ?! 😜

Honestly , it’s wild to have a hurricane this late in the season

our area has received little coverage of the damage and impact from Ian. Any impact from Nicole is going to be rough.

hurricane Ian devastated our beaches . Our sea walls are severely damaged . All beaches have been shut since Ian and there’s no shore with all the erosion :( Ian was a wet storm and in volusia county we had severe flooding , lots of people lost their homes and are still recovering as we embrace for Nicole. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone in the path of Nicole …be safe friends ❤️

It’s Lucia’s birthday weekend 🎉🎉

Five was always a big milestone birthday for me. I swear I cried so much when each turned 5 because I felt like they were no longer toddlers but now big kid status! Did you have a age that was hard for you too?

I just just love watching my clients and their families grow over the years. I have been photographing this little girl since she was a baby and now she’s a big girl! Lucia , we hope you have the best encanto birthday party ever ✨

Hold on to your babies, hug your family a little tighter…tomorrow is not guaranteed to stay in the moment

This year has been a roller coaster for our family but although we have experienced so much loss…we have also experienced so much love and support through friends, family , clients and this grieving process has even brought new friendships.

Tomorrow is doubly hard for us, we will be celebrating the life of both of my cousins. We lost my cousin Luke last month and tomorrow will be 1 yr since I lost my cousin bubba. If you’ve been following me for a while you know he was a huge piece of my heart. He was born with cerebral palsy but he loved like there were no limitations…he in my heart was infallible and his love unconditional….I was blessed to have known this kind of love and now my heart is twice the size it was because of the love he left.

Please keep my aunt , uncle , my cousin and our entire family in your thoughts and prayers …this next month will be hard for us as we come up on the 1yr anniversary of several family members.

Sometimes we don’t realize the value of a photo until it’s all we have left. This is the last photo of my cousin with his parents and siblings and I had the honor to take it. That was one of the first thing my aunt said to me after I learned my cousin passed this weekend. This is a long post and heartfelt so thank you , thank you thank you for letting me pour my heart. Please don’t hesitate to book your session, photos are so important. Photographers if your reading this…our job is priceless and so special to have this honor to capture these memories and to my clients … it’s my honor …thank you for trusting me.

My cousin who passed is the one in the teal shirt. I lost cousin but he was closer than that, closer than my own brothers …he was a brother to me . There a story with this photo too, it made me smile and laugh and thank you for letting me share with you part of our life. When I took this photo, my cousin had a cigar in his hand and he was being stubborn the one in the real shirt and would not put it down. So when I edited the photo, I took it out but then he had no finger 😳 so I had to take his sister Olivia’s finger in the white shirt and replace his with hers…now we will never forget this memory and that if you need a hand …oliva will lend you hers. The first photo is with no cigar and the second photo is with the cigar .

Let me explain a little more …this post is different, there’s no fancy clothes, no beaches, no little kids snuggling…this is my family, my lifeline …the cousins who I shared a home in my grandparents home growing up and at one point even shared a room together. We did life together, made memories and even got into trouble together but through it all…we’ve always had each other ❤️

Life is messy and this year it’s really been a difficult year for our entire family.

In a few mins I will be driving to be with my aunt and cousins for the second time this weekend. Please keep our family in your thoughts, prayers or send good vibes.

My hearts aching. I miss you so much luke. Watch over us and I promise to be there for your family especially your mom, Jamie , Emily and your boys.

Life can get messy but these are the days and moments you hang onto.

They don’t stay this little for long but then they turn into these cool people finding their own way and you go from carrying them to guiding them through life.

Relationships are hard but in parenting we have the opportunity to show and reflect healthy examples. This applies for all relationships. yesterday my son was punched in the face by a bully … and I couldn’t help but to think it starts at home , the values we teach, the examples we show are the first our kids will learn. My son woke up today and said mom, the kid who bullied me last year has been nice and my friend said he wants to be friends now…maybe I can turn this kid who punched me into a friend too. I can’t help but think I raised him right…his heart is beautiful and his character as I’ve taught him will always speak more than words.

I don’t have the answer to stop bulling but it starts at home…however it also takes a village. So teach your children to stand up for others and what’s right , if they see something do something and as adults look after the children around us and be Involved with your childrens lives. Show up to the school and be a part of the change. I’m so thankful for the parent that was there and took care of my son.

We have to do better for our kids . I tell mine, feelings are temporary so don’t make a permanent or long term decision off temporarily feelings.

Summer went by fast and it’s the first day back to school for us! ! My girls were running out the door like this today . I’m so glad they love their school but I sure do love having them home in the summers ☀️
