To all the many families that ventured down the walkway with me and on to the beautiful sand to start capturing some beautiful memories for you -- this was the aftermath of Hurricane Ian down in Ponce Inlet, down that same walkway.

Real quick behind the scenes edit (no sound) of how I clean up items in the background. And since it can also be a sensitive topic, Mom gave me the all clear to edit the daughter's clothing/skin as well.

I've seen wedding images with all kinds of crap in the background. I've seen beautiful family portraits with a pole in the background or something else that distracts from the overall image. And I won't even go into what I've seen with beach images. If you're photographer is not going to take a few seconds to do this for your images (and make them the best that they can be) -- find a different photographer next time. Just sayin ... :-)

A couple of sneak peaks for this wonderful family that I worked with back in 2013. Wow?! Almost 10 years later! And I had a great time with them, just like the last time - lot of laughter and fun out on the sand.

Multi-generational family from NC that drove all the way over from the Orlando area. This is one of my favorite images that I love to capture while on the beach - whether it's a family, a Senior, you name it. More shots from this family's session coming up here very soon. I'll also have an updated video coming online either tomorrow or Friday talking about this session and things happening on my end.

As we start to warm up here in Daytona, and as you're looking for your beach photographer - check out this video below where I don't let objects ruin the shot. It might be a great question to ask those who you are inquiring with - "How do you handle people in the background?" If they say, "well, we avoid that" -- I'm telling ya in all my years of shooting, sometimes it's unavoidable. Hence my reason of calling it the video what I did. :-)

Going through the footage of the past couple of weddings, and I love the look between these two. The lens(es) used during the family / bridal portraits is either the 70-200 @ 2.8, the 135 @ 2.0 and there's been a time or two where I've used the 200mm @ 2.0. Being a photographer as well, I know the compression and look that these lenses will bring and they never disappoint. I'll have a sneak peak of this video clip up online shortly!
