OFFICIAL NOTICE : After 16 years of serving the Dayton community, SYN : Rebooted is taking a sabbatical. How long this journey will take is unclear. But I want to share this with each and every one of you. Music has always been an important part of my life. It has been a joy to share that part of me with everyone who has come out to dance the night away. Those memories will be cherished.

SYN : ReBooted - The Long Goodbye & The Final SYN?

What is this you say? Why The Long Goodbye & The Final SYN events are posted on the event page. Well it's time for SYN to go on sabbatical. After some long thought and several conversations with certain people. I have decided that SYN is not working in it's current location as I had original intended it to be.

SYN started way back in 2008 after The Foundry closed and I was presented with an opportunity to start a night at VEX which ran till late 2016. In Mid 2017 I started SYN back up at Therapy Cafe until losing Therapy Cafe in 2020 due to Covid and scrambling to find a new home for SYN, I was presented with Bar Granada (date unsure). A tequila bar / restaurant that I was able to convert into a Goth like venue with some added sound, lighting and turning off almost every light bulb in the building. With the added open air patio and the ability to use video again on the large format TVs that were already in place. It was a sweet spot to have the monthly event. Then times changed and the space was no longer available to us. Months went by and the upstairs was finally done being renovated. It's pretty much a white box room. A great space for events, but not the vision that I had for SYN. Without being able to convert the space into a darker environment and make it feel more like home. Also with having to raise the cover price to offset some of the rates for using the space, security and door person. I have decided that it's time to find a space that will make more sense for future events. I am also taking this time to step back from other events that I am currently DJing at starting at the end of October 2023. The SYN : ReBooted page will get updates in the future (not sure when), but keep the LIKE button for future info when it comes to light.

And with that being said. I would like to add that I have so much Dark Love for everyone who has kept SYN in their hearts over the years. 16 years, 3 nightclubs and so many fun nights. Thank you.

Hey all you Industrial heads out there. Just taking a poll via this thread. Do you ever think about digital versus vinyl music? If so... Do you have a preference? Would you like more vinyl nights with exclusive mixes and all the pops and clicks that go with it? Or do you like the smoother transitions that digital gives you? Hit me back and let me know. Your feedback powers this site and we will give you more of what you want. (The DJ's are out there and we have the FIX that you need.)

Hello to all my fellow SYN'ers out there. After 25 years of having events with a cover charge of $5, I wanted to make everyone aware of a new change in our admission price effective March 2023. The new location that SYN is currently being held in monthly is charging us a percentage of the door to use the venue space now. Along with that we have to cover the cost of a door person and security guard for our events. The new door cost will be $10 per event for admission. This price change will still allow us to have guest DJ's and special events without the need to charge an even higher rate. I hope that everyone will understand the need for the change and still come out to support us monthly.
