While leaving Santander we decided to walk the coastal route to Boo de Piélagos. We walked about 18 kms but you could walk more depending on where you start in Santander. To us this is an outstanding walk and well worth the detour. You could stay in Boo, take the train to Santillana Del Mar, or continue walking. 📍San Sebastián, part 2. Our evening doing a pintxos crawl. Pintxos, spelled as they do in Basque country, are small bites. They are sometimes spelled “pinchos” out of this region and in other areas they are called tapas. It’s all the same idea. You enjoy 1-2 food items, a glass of whatever suits you, and then you move on to the next bar or go enjoy dinner if you prefer. We went into a lot of bars to look at the pintxos. You don’t have to order anything if you don’t like what you see, rather you just move on to the next bar. We had 2 favorite bars, they were (in order): Baztan Pintxos & Bar and Bare Bare Taberna-Jatetxea. Let us know what you think of them! We don’t think they will disappoint.
