I have some bittersweet news to share with you.

Today is my last day. Not just at WHIO-TV, but in the news industry.

It’s surreal to even type those words. It doesn’t feel real, but I am ready and excited for a new adventure!

I feel so honored to have worked at such amazing news stations throughout West Virginia and Ohio, including WHIO-TV. I cannot say enough good things about my coworkers. I will truly miss working with them.

Throughout my career, I have shared hundreds of stories - all of them made an impact on me. As you can imagine, I have met so many people over the years - some during their most joyous times, others during their darkest days. From the bottom of heart, I appreciate the people who trusted me to share their stories.

To all my followers, I hope I made some type of positive impact on your life, whether I was a trusted news source for you... or just made you smile thanks to pictures of Maggie!

Also, thank you for tuning in on the mornings or weekends to catch up on your local news. We’ve enjoyed a lot of coffees together!

Though I am getting out of the news industry, I am not going far! I will be working in the Miami Valley, so if you see me around, please say hello! I will try to share where I am going at a later date.

Court documents state James’ mother admitted to investigators she drove the boy to a park and was planning on leaving him there, but he tried to get back in the vehicle. She then drove off at a high rate of speed, dragging James for a distance.

A Middletown mother accused of murder in the death of her 6-year-old son, killed the boy in a Preble County park while attempting to leaving him there.

SAD UPDATE: This morning, 6-year-old James Hutchinson was reported missing to Middletown Division of Police.

Police say his mother, Brittany Gosney, and her boyfriend, James Hamilton, admitted to killing James in Preble County a few days ago. The child's body was brought back to Middletown, where they live, and later put into the Ohio River. Officers are now working to recover James’ body.

Brittany Gosney is charged with Murder, Abuse of a Co**se and Tampering with Evidence.

James Hamilton is charged with Abuse of a Co**se and Tampering with Evidence.

Two other children who lived with Gosney and Hamilton have been removed from the home.

SAD UPDATE: Police said James was murdered. His mother and her boyfriend are now facing charges.

MISSING: Middletown Division of Police is looking for this 6 yo named James. He is 3 feet tall and 42 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red shirt with blue and red Batman pajama pants. Police said they believe he is outside of city limits. If you see him, call 911.

It’s a sad day at WHIO-TV. It’s Meteorologist Jesse Maag’s last day! He is an amazing friend and coworker, so I’ll miss working with him! But I’m still going to make him hang out with me outside of work, ha! Here is to new adventures! Wishing him all the best! 🎉

Tonight, I was honored by Springboro Schools the Ohio School Board Association Media Honor Roll Award. This award is for “fair and balanced reporting, and exemplary service to the community.” I truly feel honored to receive this recognition. I’m grateful to the Springboro community for allowing and trusting me to share their stories.

The Price family is currently in a legal battle with the Country Brook Homeowner’s Association after a lawsuit was filed stating the pig breaks its rules.

Natural Resources Officer Jason Lagore died in the line-of-duty last night.

Natural Resources Officer Jason Lagore died in the line-of-duty last night, responding to a call. We are deeply grateful for his service.

Officer Lagore was a dedicated officer, having served 15 years with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. He was responsible for the first ODNR K-9 academy, led the Division of Parks and Watercraft K-9 training program, and was well respected by law enforcement agencies across the state for his expertise working with K-9s. He leaves behind a wife, two young sons and his K-9 partner, Sarge.

AMBER ALERT: Police are looking for a 2003 Black GMC Yukon Denali. OH plate JGP2058.

They’re looking for a 1-year-old with blonde hair and blue eyes, wearing blue pjs. See attached picture.

Officials say the suspect is 51-years-old with brown hair, and is considered armed and dangerous.

They were last seen in Columbus area, Franklin Co.

Deputies said a 25-year-old man showed up with an AR-15 threatening to kill himself while people were inside of the church.

A heavy law enforcement presence is reported to be located near a church in Darke County Monday night.

Neighbors, firefighters and deputies worked together to free a horse after she feel through it on a farm in Xenia Twp.

Dramatic body camera footage obtained by News Center 7 shows the group of about a half dozen people helping free the horse from the ice during the nearly 20 minute rescue.

Many people, who are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, are getting frustrated when trying to schedule an appointment.

Gov. Mike DeWine has said he wishes the state had more vaccine supply to get to Ohioans, so more people could get shots. The slow distribution of the two available vaccines prompted the Governor to put a hold on expanding the age groups eligible for shots for at least several weeks.

Getting ready for the Super Bowl tonight on WHIO! I have to give a shout-out to to the voice of CBS Sports, Jim Nantz, who is calling his sixth Super Bowl tonight. When I was working in West Virginia, Jim and my husband developed a friendship and every year during the PGA Greenbrier Classic, Jim would invite us to the CBS Tower on the 18th green. He is a true legend in the industry and as nice as they come!
