The Danbury Police Department has an active arrest warrant for David "Davicito" Grullon of 43 Lake Avenue Unit 3, Danbury. The warrant is in reference to a homicide that occurred at 43 Lake Avenue on January 7, 2026.

Update: The victim has been identified as 37-year-old Victor Quispe of Danbury

On January 7 at 8:37PM, Danbury Police responded to a report of a shooting at a home on Lake Avenue.

Preliminary information indicates that a firearm was discharged inside a townhouse, with a single round traveling through a wall and striking a neighbor who was inside their home at the time. The victim was rushed to the hospital where they were pronounced deceased.

The person believed to be responsible left the scene prior to officers arrival, and detectives are continuing efforts to locate the individual.

This was an isolated incident, and at this time we do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the community. The investigation remains active and ongoing. Additional updates will be shared as information becomes available.timate

The funeral service will take place at 10:45 a.m. on Friday, January 9, at St. Sebastian’s Roman Catholic Church, 58-02 Roosevelt Avenue, Woodside, NY 11377.

Following the service, all are welcome to join a reception beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Donovan’s Pub, 57-24 Roosevelt Avenue, Woodside, NY 11377.
