The Spectrum belongs to us all, and it exists truthfully and most vibrantly through a will of creation.

We must open our hearts and our minds so that we may receive & experience the graceful calling to be an artist, whether it may transist literally or figuratively. We share willfully of ourselves in hope that we may receive further enlightenment.

“How To Fold A Paper Crane”

it’s prayerful. it’s meditative.

it helps me formulate solution.

in the Japanese tradition, the origami crane is symbolic of peace, love, hope, and healing.

I like to fold my birds with a 3x3” base square of 24lb translucent vellum.

each heron is infused with 12 Hail Mary (en Español), an Our Father, & a Glory Be.

I keep count on a spectrum of color.

I am currently partial to this A4 publication format because the artwork can easily be displayed in a standard 8.5x11” mounted frame. Pragmatically, the publication is formatted as a pamphlet otherwise known as what is called a “newsletter” which might be neatly distributed via Staples®️ Center + a simple French Fold.

I also enjoy repurposing the artwork as mobile backlight display, as it renders a delightfully tangible & personalized user interface.
