1) Senate dems have the votes to get it done

2) Historical significance aside, replacing Stephen Breyer with Ketanji Brown Jackson won’t change much of how SCOTUS operates, at least not immediately.

3) the vague straw man attacks are more than likely to earn political points. Keep track of every mention of “CRT” and “court packing.” Did the nominee ever mention these things or is the question being asked so the senator can get footage for a future political ad?
