In this episode Ken and Tiler discuss how to trust God in the midst of doubt and uncertainty. It is important to remember that we have an opportunity, a privilege, to put our faith in God in troubling times. Dr. Tony Evans of OCBF in Oak Cliff, Dallas, TX steps down due to what he calls an “unrighteous judgment”.

Ken, being a member of OCBF, talks about the impact that has had on the congregation. Tiler and Ken detail how crucial it is for believers to pray regularly for our church leaders.

Repentance is not just asking for forgiveness from the Lord, but it’s the changing of one‘s mind. We do this as by using scriptures to be “transformed by the renewing of our minds” (Romans 12:2).

In this episode Tiler discusses the motivations behind repentance. He asserts that we should allow God’s kindness towards us to lead us to repentance (Romans 2:4) not his wrath. Now wrath is a great motivator but it only takes us so far. Love is a far better motivator. For instance our children do a much better job of following our instructions when they are operating in the knowledge of our love compared to our wrath.

This is the same for us and our Father God. Let’s allow his love to motivate us to repent. Link to the YouTube video is in the comments below!

So if you didn’t know June has been adopted as Pride Month. The LGBTQ community celebrates the anniversary of the 1970 Stonewall Inn Raid in New York.

In this episode Tiler discusses the need for Christians to be in the world but not of the world. We Christians will inevitably deal with this societal topic, therefore let’s be equipped and educated with a God Honoring response.

Tiler discusses 3 biblical truths about sexuality which include:
1. Sexuality is Gods medium for Human procreation (Genesis 1:26-27)
2. Sexuality is the medium of Deep Initmacy between Husband and Wife only (Matt. 19:6) (Genesis 2:24)
3. Sexuality is a medium to Worship God
(Romans 12:1)

is committed to calling out the evil of so-called Christians who persecute the LGBTQ. And challenging Christians to not show partiality with this particular sin and instead speak truth to all types of sins!!

Ken and Ti specifically discuss how differently a first date should look as a Christian.

1. Our reasoning and motivations
- in the first date we aren’t trying to seal the deal sexually, we are trying to honor God!
2. The Time and Place
- the Lord wants us to abstain from the appearance of evil therefore we need to be vigilant about when and where we have our first dates.
3. Group Dating/ Accountability
- I know this sounds corny, but are we trying to please Man or God? We need others to keep us accountable in our dating life. Ken discusses the brotherhood he had when dating his wife Brandi and it proved to be valuable in keeping them pure of heart.

These three things if implemented in your dating life will surely be a great start to a dating life that honors God!

You will never believe what Ken's grandmother use to allow him and his 9 cousins to do. . . Check this out, they had a "Cussing Night". Yes you heard me a "cussing night". Out in Canton, Texas grandma use to get all the cousins together and let them have at it. Cussing Mashups is what Ken called it. This brings us to the topic at hand. Ken and Tiler explore what the BIble has to say about cursing. James 3 seems to be the best excerpt of how powerful and dangerous our tongues can be. We need Jesus and the Holy Spirit to tame our tongues. Often times our environment, pure laziness, and the things we store in our hearts cause us to stumble in our speech. We must submit to the Lord's will for our lives, which is "our sanctification" (1 Thessalonians 4:3-4).
