My yoga practice started over 6 years ago, when a friend dragged me to my very first hot yoga class. He was your typical over-the-top, obsessed yogi who lived and breathed yoga. With gyms and fitness studios shut down across the nation, and many states ordering people to stay indoors as much as possible, thousands of people are on the lookout for their next workout. Sure, going for a brisk walk or even a run outside is a possibility, but it may not be everyone's cup of tea. Begins by sitting on the floor with your legs extended in front of you. Place your palms behind your hips about six to eight inches away, with your fingers pointing toward your toes. As you inhale, press into your hands and feet firmly, lifting your hips into the air. Slowly release your head back, looking behind you. Stay here for five deep breaths, and then release.
