01/24/2024
On Monday, 01/22/24, we added our 6th "adopted" grandchild from foster care officially (along with 3 by birth). We had the complete joy of being this little's foster parents for 18 months, then forming a relationship with his adoptive parents as they had him in their home for the 6-month transition period required in Texas, and then finally meeting more of his extended family of other grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. at the courthouse for him to tell foster care "peace out". We will get to continue to act as another set of grandparents and support this sweet boy and his amazing family!
The foster-adopt symbol is the triangle interlocking with a heart. Each point of the triangle represents the adoption triad of the child, birth family, and adoptive family. The heart represents the love involved in an adoption relationship. We are so very thankful to be part of that heart.
We've been on a break since this little one moved from our home but we are now getting our training back in order and will keep you updated on our journey! What a beautiful ride.
