Our most recent adventure was a little different than normal. We got to spend 4 days in Richmond, Virginia with family celebrating a wonderful wedding.

We went shopping. Checked out some great new restaurants. Swam and played at the hotel. Amelia and I even got mani/pedis.

The weather was pristine. The colors in the trees were immaculate (I tried to get pictures but I couldn’t do them justice). But the best was just the quality time with our family celebrating Sarah and catching up. It was one of the best vacations we have ever taken and it truly was an actual vacation!!!!

We had a fun last day. We started the day at Disney Springs where we did some last minute shopping and had a great lunch...

We had a fun last day. We started the day at Disney Springs where we did some last minute shopping and had a great lunch at STK.

We did a sky liner bar crawl. We got to check out the Riveria, Carribean Beach and Art of Animation. They were all awesome hotels.

We still had time to kill before our flight so I got nostalgic and took Chris to the Polynesian. It was the first Disney Resort I had ever stayed at. I then made the mistake of taking him to the Wilderness Lodge. This resort is modeled after Old Faithful Inn so it is totally our scene. Chris didn’t want to leave and has decided that we should stay there every time we go to Disney. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I don’t know how Chris is going to top this. It was the best 40th birthday trip I could ever hope for!!!!

Our second (and last 😢) park day was jam packed full of fun!!! We started at the Magic Kingdom so I could see the castle...

Our second (and last 😢) park day was jam packed full of fun!!! We started at the Magic Kingdom so I could see the castle and ride a mountain (Big Thunder had the shortest line). Chris was kind enough to ride with me. I even got to see a show with the girls favorite princesses!!!

We hopped on the monorail and made our way to Epcot. We got to finish up at the Food and Wine Festival. We hit all, but 1 booth that was on our list and I call that a win! We road Soarin’, Guardians of the Galaxy (I LOVED it, Chris HATED it) and end our time at Epcot listening to Mercy Me.

We got on the skyliner to end our night at Hollywood Studios. It rained but that allowed the park to clear out so we could ride Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway and Rise of the Resistance.

I ended the day with a major sunburn and terribly sore feet, but it was absolutely worth it!!!!!!!!

A few months ago Chris said “I would like to take you to the Epcot Food and Wine Festival for your birthday.” I planned it and with some Travelmation magic (ask me about my magic!!!) we were able to pull it off. We focused on the World Showcase area today and plan on visiting Magic Kingdom and the rest of Epcot tomorrow. It was an amazing day. Do I feel guilty I went without the girls…yes…was it still a wonderful and magical time…absolutely.

Labor Day weekend was one for the books!!!! It was rainy and muddy and not easy but the memories were something incredible.

We never got to all go out in kayaks because they were either closed or the wait was too long so we red neck tubed (tired tubes to our kayaks and floated). It was fun but I don’t suggest trying to do it against the current in the wind and rain because people with fall out, shoes will be lost and people will not be happy haha.

We did learn that Haven hates hiking, Daphne loves dancing in the rain, Amelia and Ryker can actually get along and Emmerie wants to be with her momma no matter what.

White Sands

The park was so pretty and so fun. We also got to explore Alamogordo for a bit and saw the world’s largest pistachio. We went back to our campsite and played and had fun.

In true ABCD Adventures style we had to shake things up on this trip somehow so at 8pm we decided we were ready to go home. We loaded up and left New Mexico at 8:30pm. Luckily I am a big night owl and drove to Abilene. We got a hotel room at 5am and took a little nap and hit the road at 10:30am.

We hope you enjoyed being a part of our Adventures as much as we had fun having them. Be on the look out for our podcasts about this grand adventure!!!!

Saguaro —> White Sands

This was a lot of driving. We decided halfway to White Sands we were going to stay an extra night to fish in New Mexico. Problem was that after driving an hour out of the way to get to the place suggested we realized we had to drive another 2 hours into the mountains and with a kayak trailer that is no fun. So we finally made it to the campground and unpacked and swam and met the nicest family from San Antonio who had family from Crandall 😱.

Saguaro National Park

Disney —> Saguaro

We slept in late this morning. We were tired! But before we left for Arizona we got to have brunch with one of my favorite people. We decided since it is a high of 112 and a low of 82 where we are going we upgraded ourselves to a cabin instead of a campsite and since it is 97 degrees at 9pm I am super happy we did that!!!!

California Adventures part 2

We did EVERYTHING here and our feet are feeling it haha. We got to ride everything we wanted to and the girls rode some of the things multiple times. We let them branch out and ride some rides all by themselves. We got to the see the parade from the start. Watched some shows and just enjoy walking around. We also say some characters that we had never seen before. We left early because our feet were killing us and went and swam and got some hot tub time before finishing with some pizza. Heading back to Arizona in the morning.
