Finally got to take out for some fun on Erie. Weather allowed for a fun day and we got to catch some bigs. Bite was great, wind shifted, we said see ya. Always fun to leave them biting. Great time and even better company.

Last derb of 2023! We had a plan from the start and executed on Day 1 as planned catching 25lbs+. We had a bit of a hill to climb but knew where and how we were going to catch them. As Lake Erie weather changed for the worse, our plans for Day 2 had to change due to the tournament being locked into the Sandusky Bay. Jonathan Barker and I have zero knowledge of the bay and as luck would have it, we put a plan together to fish the way we liked to for Greens. Ended up climbing from 7th to 4th in a stacked field to cash a check, claim a plaque, and gain momentum going into 2024.

Nothing like catching bass on a flutter spoon. Experienced a lot of cool things down here at Dale Hollow. Sure, the results on derb day didn’t meet expectations, but I stayed with it and never gave up. Got to display the Clemons Boats rig to a whole bunch of new eyes and how it ripped through all the “big waves” here. Derb season is far from over, getting home to the family is #1.

BFL season is a wrap(top 25). Highest of highs and lowest of lows. Made some really good decisions and some bailouts along the way. Yesterday was big water and hoping for big fish, they didn’t chew and that’s why you get a practice photo. The year of trials continues, but there isn’t an easy road and no easy way out. Hard work continues into the final Team Series events and Fall Fishing into the Holiday Season. Big rods, Big Line, Big Bass loading.

Had a great time at American Fallen Hero Fishing Tournament this weekend. Had some good ones in an area but our bigs didn’t show up. 7th out of 30 plus boats is respectable and we’re shifting our focus to the derbs in May. Thanks for all the support
