WBNX-TV55 serves the Cleveland-Akron-Canton-Sandusky Ohio area which is the 19th largest television market in the US.

WBNX-TV55 signed on the air December 1, 1985 as Independent. In 1997 The WB Network was acquired which brought many hit TV shows such as 7th Heaven, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Smallville and Gilmore Girls. In 2006 The WB and the UPN Network merged creating the, The CW Network affiliation comprised of CBS and Warner Bros. This affiliation has brought such hits as America's Next Top Model, The Vampir

e Diaries, 90210, Gossip Girl and fan favorite, Arrow. In July of 2018 WBNX-TV transitioned back to an Independent station. WBNX-TV55
