Backstory: My selfless husband has been using this closet space to work for almost 3 years. He likes it because it’s quiet 😂. This is also our storage area!
We had flooring laid down because one of our dogs had ripped up the carpet. On a Friday my husband left for a business trip so I decided to completely make over the space to surprise him when he arrived home on a Sunday morning.
With the help of my four daughters who did a little bit of painting (and a little bit of spilling 😅😂), as well as three of his friends who helped lift the furniture upstairs, we got it done with an hour to spare!
I’m so happy he finally has his own space filled with his own things (posters of his favorite international travels +family, and other lifetime treasures.)
What do you all think of this transformation and his reaction? The kids were so excited (as well as the dogs) to show him all of our hard work!

My fav elements of organic modern design 🫶
As I continue my journey of decluttering and simplifying my home, I wanted to share these tips with all of you!
1. Natural materials like wood on furniture and decor for warmth and texture. Ads an organic field on counters and backsplash. Textiles like linen and cotton will bring softness and contrast.
2. Neutral colors.- earthy tones like beige, white, taupe, and gray and accents of greenery to mimic nature.
3. Clean lines, cozy furniture, and minimalism, simple and uncluttered space
This style thrives on balance, combining warmth of organic materials with the sophistication of modern design.
