An arrest has been made in the Robbery that occurred in the Holly Pond area last week. Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) Investigators have charged Shannon Dewayne Nickens (36) of Hanceville with Robbery/Business/Gun.

CCSO Deputies and Investigators worked diligently throughout the holiday weekend, following up on leads and obtaining evidence. Nickens was identified as a potential suspect and arrested on 11/26/22 for unrelated warrants. The investigation continued and produced sufficient evidence to officially charge Nickens earlier today.

“The relentless hard work and determination shown by our Deputies and Investigators is certainly commendable. Because of their efforts, and the support of our citizens, this potentially dangerous individual is off the streets. I am extremely proud of all those who helped make Cullman County just a little bit safer,” said Sheriff Matt Gentry.
