Klarana could not permit this to happen, and though her companions were still imprisoned and though she alone had escaped, Klarana was determined to stand between those dearest to her and encompassing annihilation.
Arcane essence filled her top to toe. The energy of ancients swelled in her breast, and acting more on reflex than on active thought, she let loose with a strike so powerful that in the flash of an eye, her enemies lay dead before her.

I'd like to pose a question.

I'm about to launch a Kickstarter campaign that will feature a new D&D One Shot adventure based on my current Realmes of the Ravensdaughter Gaming Guide.

I was going to offer a companion novella as a stretch goal, but there are soooo many D&D adventures on Kickstarter (and so many novellas too) that I don't think either a One Shot or a novella will stand out.

What if I offered BOTH a novella and a companion One Shot adventure in the initial Kickstarter campaign and change my stretch goal to offer a related short story and companion side quest?

I need to carve out a niche for myself, and my original work, Tales of the Ravensdaughter, is like Forgotten Realms. There's novelization and gaming available.

Can everyone please comment? I'd really appreciate your thoughts. Thanks!

I rescued films everyone had given up on — The Little Mermaid, The Lion King.
I literally slept at the studio. I had no life outside of it.

I almost quit Hollywood. I was exhausted. Drained.
But then came Steven Spielberg and David Geffen with a crazy idea:
Let’s build our own studio.
One that breaks the rules.
One that dares to stand up to the giants.

And that’s how DreamWorks was born.
Not with magic — but with risk, struggle, and pain.
We ran out of money.
We released flops like The Road to El Dorado.
We had to let people go.
Every failure hurt… but made us stronger. 💸🎥

Then came Shrek.
An anti-fairy tale. Sarcastic. Weird. Real.
A green ogre and a talking donkey?
Nobody believed in it.

But Shrek changed everything.
We won an Oscar. We made history.
And most importantly —
we proved you don’t need a crown to tell legendary stories. 🏆👑
