I have something to share, & this isn't an easy one.
Back in October—I nervously wrote a post here on facebook about my journey struggling with overstimulation in motherhood. I say nervously because facebook for me is an uncomfortable place for me, as many of you know me personally.
As many of you know, I had a quite volatile childhood, growing up between random homes, in group homes, and in foster care—plus being placed with different family members, and occasionally back with a birth parent.
There is a lot that comes with bouncing between homes as a young girl, that there is no need to get into here—but I have struggled my whole life with finding a sense of belonging or "fitting in", the ups and down of anxiety, and bouts of total sadness.
When I became a mother, those struggles did't miraculously disappear, in fact it it brought a whole lot more traumas and feelings to the surface. I became very overstimulated—brain fog thick and at times, patience thin.
Just a couple years ago, I was silently drowning in overstimulation as a mom. I didn’t have the tools or the community I needed, and I often felt incredibly alone.
After years of studying the brain, implementing micro-habits, and finally trusting that herbal medicine isn's just "woo-woo", I was able to understand what was happening to me—with that I was able to create a foundation in motherhood that I could finally grow on.
Then I slowly began sharing my story, speaking my truth. Thats when I realized, I wasn't alone—not at all.
And now, i've created something I wish I’d had back then—a space just for moms like us.
The overstimulated moms, the mom's that don't feel deserving of motherhood, the motherless mothers that have completely lost their sense of self—beyond just "mom".
The Overstimulated Moms Club is a membership for moms navigating motherhood, overstimulation, and all the chaos that comes with it. It’s full of tools, micro habits, herbal resources, and—most importantly—a community of women who truly get it.
If this resonates with you or someone you know, I’d love for you to check it out. No pressure—just sharing what’s been life-changing for me.
Though, i'm not ready to post the direct link to my community here on facebook—if you'd like to learn more, please message me ❤︎
