One last run around the bases for Corunna senior baseball ⚾️ players Braden Andrejack, Corbin Reed, Logan Vowell, Parker Isham and Brayden Bukovick. For the past 13 years the parents of these players (who each started their ⚾️ career in Corunna’s little league) had been waiting for them outside the fences to greet them after baseball games. This time, the parents were waiting for their boys to cross home plate one last time as Cavaliers. Special thanks to Amy Galesk for recording this.
Braden Andrejack helped the Corunna varsity baseball team claim 16-12 & 18-16 wins over New Lothrop on “Senior Night”. The senior had a night to remember going 4 for 5 with a Single, Double, Triple and Grand Slam (shown in this video). He also had a Sacrifice Fly and 4 HBP, 6 Runs, 6 RBI and 4 SB. His 4 Hit by Pitches give him 14 for the season, which broke the Cavalier School record of 11 which was previously set by Brent Bendall in 2014. Braden will be continuing his education at Alma College where he’ll be a member of their baseball ⚾️ team.
Arlen Belmer with a nice play at second base for the Corunna varsity baseball ⚾️ team last night. Arlen had two hits for the Cavaliers in the game.

Logan Vowell with a walk-off double to score Bryce Edington in Corunna’s 1-0, 8 inning win over Owosso tonight. Dayne Zeeman went the distance on the mound and had 3 strikeouts while only allowing 5 hits. The Cavalier defense was flawless tonight, led by shortstop Braden Andrejack who turned a 6-4-3 double play with Vowell & Paul Galesk. Vowell had two of the Cavaliers three hits on the night and he was also hit by a pitch.
Wyatt Bower claiming 1st Place in the 200 meter run at the Mason Invitational last night in a time of 22.39 (just short of breaking Rob Currie’s record of 22.31 that he set in 1998). In addition, Kenny Evans, Tarick Bower, Lucas Kuran and the Corunna 4x100 team had 1st 🥇 place finishes to help the Cavaliers win the meet against strong competition.
Congratulations to Tarick Bower for breaking the Corunna school record in the long jump for the Cavaliers track & field team. Tarick broke the school record last year with a jump of 22’9” and he topped it today with a 23’ leap.
Logan Vowell with a homerun in game 1 for the Corunna varsity baseball team against Clio tonight. He also had two singles in the game and was hit by a pitch to break the Cavalier school record (previously held by Brent Bendall 2013-14) of most times being hit by pitches in a career. In addition, Logan went all 7 innings on the mound to get the win for Coach Osika’s Cavaliers.
Congratulations to Corunna senior Tarick Bower for breaking the Cavalier school record in the 100 meter sprint at Chesaning today with a time of 10.77 seconds. The previous record of 10.80 was held by Kevin Zielenski who graduated from Corunna in 1995.
Braden Andrejack with a home run for the Corunna varsity baseball ⚾️ team in their 7-1 win over Chesaning tonight. Coach Osika’s Cavaliers claimed a 10-6 victory in the nightcap with Andrejack (an Alma College baseball commit) getting the win on the mound. Continue to follow The Heartbeat of Corunna for more on the Cavaliers baseball ⚾️ team.
