The Latest Covid Variant is 1.5 times more contagious –

In the United States 67% of those eligible are fully vaccinated as of now, yet the new BA.2 Covid variant appears to be more contagious, as reported.
“The subvariant is 1.5 times more transmissible than the original omicron strain, referred to by scientists as BA.1, according to Statens Serum Institut, which conducts infectious disease surveillance for Denmark”, reports CNBC.
However, initial studies found that BA.2 doesn’t appear to reduce the effectiveness of vaccines any more than the original omicron. 70% effectiveness was found in booster dosages after receiving booster shots post two weeks in preventing symptomatic illness from BA.2. This was compared with 63% effectiveness for the original omicron strain after two weeks of booster shots.

The WHO officials warn of the spread of omicron at an unprecedented rate across the globe, however BA.2 variant has not been labeled as a variant of concern.
The next variant will be more transmissible, they say.

In a new development, Pfizer and Moderna have initiated clinical trials starting this week on omicicron specific shots to address growing concerns on the new variant as the immunity induced by the vaccines may fade.

The variant of the COVID-19 has infected 12 people in France originating from Cameroon. According to reports, the first patient was vaccinated and returned to France from Cameroon in Central Africa. After three days of his return, he developed mild respiratory symptoms. His nasopharyngeal sample revealed atypical combination different from Delta variant.

Additionally, Fluorona has been found in Israel. As the name suggests, it describes a rare double infection of both coronavirus and influenza. The term emerged recently on the finding of a patient in Israel who tested positive for both diseases when she was admitted to the hospital – that was the first recorded case across the continents.
The reported woman from Israel had mild symptoms, yet medical experts are trying to evaluate if the combination of COVID and Influenza in combination causes greater severity in illness.

The medical providers come across few patients who draw misconception in dosage regimen during therapeutic management. This is just because of reading technical and scientific stuff on the internet without understanding the pathophysiology, etiology, and pharmacology. It takes years to get medical license as a provider in the medical profession. An average of 23 years of non-stop medical education with residency is required to be providers in medicine.
Yet, after this education and training the risk of facing malpractice civil suits are common. Such risks limit any liberal practice in medical management.
Furthermore, insurance companies reject billing claims that exceed any textbook justification.
These principles including the regulatory hurdles in R & D in new drug design in the United States prioritize consumer interest more than any other preference.
