Are you wondering about the Constitutional Amendments on the 2024 Arkansas Ballot?

The Cooperative Extension Service shares a voter's guide for Arkansans.
Since 2004, the Public Policy Center has published unbiased fact sheets on statewide ballot measures so voters have a better understanding of what is being asked of them on Election Day. The fact sheets go through a vetting process that includes reviews by issue supporters and opponents.
To get a clear picture of the ballot measures before early voting begins on Monday, Oct. 21, 2024, here is information about
Issue 1: Lottery Proceeds for Scholarships.
Issue 2: Repealing Casino Licenses and Requiring Local Vote
Issue 3: Arkansas Medical Ma*****na Amendment

The Cooperative Extension Service in Arkansas provides voters with neutral, research-based information on all statewide ballot proposals.

I was honored to open the Arkansas Press Association's Publisher Weekly tonight and see a column we published in The Clay County Courier for National Newspaper Week. The theme of the week was "Telling Our Stories" and newspapers were encouraged to share their work in their communities. There have been many articles written and much information shared in The Clay County Courier that has encouraged some positive changes in our community, but I chose to share our work for residents of Clay County during the pandemic. During that terrible time in our history, The Courier published interviews, data and work that would rival what any large newspaper published for its community during that time.
I love our community; our city and I love The Courier. The Courier is here to support the community and always has its back, even when reporting sad or bad news. I hope that you all love it too and will support it when you can. Print subscriptions include a free online subscription. Online only subscriptions can be purchased as well.
Subscribing to your newspaper is one of the simplest, yet effective ways to support your community. A town without a newspaper is considered a news desert. If you already support our paper by reading The Courier, purchasing advertising, or subscribing, I thank you.
