I've been dealing with a broken molar & navigating the healthcare h3llscape many disabled folks know all too well. Finding an option has been tough, but I'm hanging in there & saving up.
The possibility of a gfm has been suggested but I can't justify that personally, some people need support way more than I do, far faster. I won't die if I don't get it fixed asap. There are people on GFM who need help like, right now, or else they won't be safe, healthy, or worse.

So I'm nursing it for now, which means I may need to take days off far more often than I want to because my face becomes too swollen & tender to do makeup. The situation will work it's way out. Things always do.

Returning, right before the holidays has been wild, but I wouldn't change it for anything! I'll admit I toyed with the idea of starting a brand new page (thanks, algorithm), but I dont want to lose any of you. you've all been ride or die for me. I cannot thank you enough so i'm not going to ask you to follow to a new page.

Friendsgiving2024: Kitchen Avoider Meets Foodie Life

When you're the only "wife" in the squad & suddenly become the designated holiday cook, strategy mode activates. I carried a 21lb frozen turkey in my backpack (shoulders STILL screaming), then slow-roasted that beauty to perfection.

Confession: Total kitchen rebellion happened. Store-bought mashed potatoes? Check. Mac & cheese from a box? Absolutely. Pies that didn't touch my mixer? You bet!

Pro holiday survival strategy: Strategic laziness. Sometimes showing love means focusing your energy where it matters most. I focused most of my energy on that slow-roasted turkey while shamelessly deploying store-bought reinforcements. Mashed potatoes? Store-bought. Mac & cheese? Box squad. Pies? Not today, Pinterest.
Sometimes feeding your friends isn't about perfection—it's about showing up & filling bellies.
Mission: Deliciously Accomplished.

Hi! Hi!
I'd like to introduce everyone to the newest member of our family.
While there are a handful of regulars who hang out in our backyard there have always been 2 that pretty much lived there.
This is one of them, Farley.
(We thought they were a boy for a long time and named them after Chris Farley. Guess it's a good thing that we didn't go with Chris.) She's less than a year old but a big girl and a total cuddle bug. She's been making it hard to get back on track with work considering cuddles are more fun haha.
Ellie isn't super amused but she gets better daily. We are doing everything we can to reassure her she's loved and not being replaced. She's been the top cat for 12 of the last 16 years so it's understandable.
We're doing everything slowly for the benefit of all of them.
We have Jack out back still and are hoping he moves in at some point. In my experience with adopting strays that lived outside before meeting you, it ends better if you allow them to decide to come in if you can. If it gets too cold we may just scoop him up and bring him in. I have a nice little hideout for him that's warm and blocked from the weather and wind until then.
I should be back to a proper schedule by Monday. The studio and office are both almost finished. My drawing tablet is here. I'm updating software for the whole 9.
Also, I'll be on substack soon. I'm posting about it later but just so it's clear my reviews will remain free. Always.
Accessibility can be expensive. I don't want to add to that. I will probably create additional subscription-based content later on but I didn't want anyone to have that concern.

Whoa, talk about lucky! I won a huge giveaway & I'm still pinching myself!👌🏻

I want to share things independently, so I'm sharing the clothing that have kinda taken over my wardrobe first. The robe? It's pretty fancy💫 It makes me feel a bit like I'm playing dress-up in a glam squad's closet!
Then the shirt. Let's just say my sensory-sensitive self is in heaven. It might be the comfiest thing I own.

There's a whole treasure trove of other goodies too - jewelry, hand spray, bags & so. much. makeup. I'm thinking each piece deserves its own little spotlight moment, so keep an eye out!

Sorry for the delay I managed to get a major headcold.
However the winner has been chosen and contacted via dms. Makeup magic in progress! This look's not quite finished, but neither am I - & that's okay! I was genuinely too tired to wrap it up but I really liked this color combination. I have done about 5 makeup looks in the past year so I'm tracking my progress as i get back into the swing of blending.

Life's been throwing some curveballs lately (hello, health hiccups, sleep deprivation & so many stressors), but I'm pushing through with a smile & a smokey eye.

Got my hands on the quirkies thing ever at ! Imagine a pen disguised as a facial roller - Now I can pretend I'm pampering my face while I'm adding more skincare video ideas in my to-do list. Multi-tasking level: expert!

Who needs boring pens when you can roll your way through your notes? It's like a spa day for my notebook. Seriously, my desk has never looked so bougie on a budget.

Before I get a much needed nap I do want to thank & for sending over for us to try.
We tried 2 weekends in a row to have people over and after things falling through (one pretty traumatizing in why) we just decided to have a board game date night last night and make the best of it.
The game was super fun! Even with 2 players and a cat but we enjoyed ourselves. We love board games and have people over for them but it seems the dates with school having just started just didn't permit anyone to make it after all. Hey family first I understand.
We enjoyed ourselves and the adorable artwork. Ellie enjoyed trying to steal pigeons that's the advanced version of the game haha.
