Carmen's “Family Friday meal kits” PT 2

-Oven-roasted chicken with cream sauce
- Mashed potatoes
- Green beans
- Brioche rolls

When I tell y'all, they continue to impress and provide Lebanon with unique foodie ideas for our community. Now, these meal kits feed 4-5 people (adults), like the serving size of chicken, you got was enough and then some. Also, the chicken and cream sauce were perfect. Also the apple crisp 🤤🤤 like you know it’s good when you get up at 12 am to sneak some lmao.

But I want to talk about the simplicity of this. The instructions were easy to follow. I mean, literally, heat your oven and pop everything right in. Every container can be thrown right in the oven. I feel like it being priced at $49.99 is a perfect price point because you get such large portion sizes. I leave off with this: I think these will be a hit for our community. Take a Friday night off and let Carmen's take care of it. 😁l

What if I told you Springfield‘s best-kept burger isn’t at a burger spot? One thing I wanted to do was find a unique style of burger. Yes, I love a good cheeseburger
But sometimes I like to find a good fusion/twist on a classic and I think I might’ve found it here.

Burger review 🍔

Smash-burger taco 9.9/10 🔥🔥When I say, I want a smash patty what Casey gave me was exactly that he literally executed a perfectly smashed patty with crispy edges  also had some braised onions smashed into the patty but one thing I feel like certain elements are required when making a smashed burger, and understanding your burger blend to me is the most essential and Casey knew the assignment 🫡 ….. before I forget its not on the menu at the 14 mill but you most definitely can ask for it 😉

Overall: I understand this isnt a traditional burger but in my eyes it’s still one and I would argue this has to be one of the best in Springfield I feel like I should get with some of my foodie friends and host a burger fest/comp in the ozarks area and I’d put money thw would be top 5 but that’s just my opinion lol.

I have a couple of reviews that I haven’t posted yet but I’ll have plenty of time to get to all of them today😊

Also still dreaming about these “Smashburger tacos” I think that’s one thing I wanna highlight as well is a spot that’s not known for a good burger or unique style burger so if you guys have places that you know, aren’t your typical burger spots but that serve a good burger please tag them for me because the angle is to make this a complete and unique burger list so as the year goes by, I have a plethora of unique style burgers from everywhere all over Missouri.

The Cocky Steer

And the burger tour continues this time at cocky steer (food truck) first off let me say this they get a 10 out of 10 when it comes to the food truck wrap because this is one of the dopest wraps I’ve seen on a food truck. It's a very clever design, and stopping here today was a no-brainer. It’s literally two minutes from my job and I passed it every day on my way to work so it only made sense.

Burger review 🍔

-Double Cheeseburger 8.9/10👍🏾 now I said it initially when I started these burger reviews that my burgers were going to be plain butpretty much it just cheese, grilled onions and that’s about it. My goal is to really taste the burgers yeah I don’t want a bunch of fillers with tomatoes, lettuce, and all that extra stuff on it now that’s no knock to anybody else that is my preference. So the burger was two smash patties and they gave you the option between a couple of cheeses I chose pepper jack which I thought was a perfect touch. One thing I bought a burger is that he seasoned this thing very well and I mean very well which I myself definitely appreciate the bun was toasted perfectly. That cheese was actually melted. This is a very solid burger my only thing is maybe my edges could be a little more crispy, but that’s just me being bougie because it’s still a great burger. The patty was juicy. I mean it was still smashed pretty good. So this is another spot that I would definitely check out if you’re looking for another good burger.
