💫💜💫 Sooo excited to be participating in the 2024 100 days of creativity challenge! Inspired by so many other incredible artists and crafters over the years… I thought it high time for me to just go for it!

🥸 I’ve been feeling like I need a little bit of routine adjustment… as in… I have no routine… and I feel this challenge will give me the nudge of discipline to help me get into my studio to create on a daily regular basis… while also being super fun to participate with other amazing artists and creatives!

⭐️ The 100 project begins this Sunday on February 18th… I welcome you join in, be my cheerleader… and sometimes butt kicker!!!

🤔 What you see me doing here, is cutting 5”x 7”cold-pressed water rectangles to make them 5”x5” squares… the extra 2 inches I will save for future projects… or maybe the next 100 days after this…

😎 My plan is to zap these babies with a little Pyrography/Woodburn design first… I’ve always wanted to try it on watercolor paper vs my usual Poplar wood…then… I have a most-excellent Colewood Super Pro II woodburning tool that I named “Prosperity”

😍 I’ll jazz them up with words and quotes that I’ve been collecting just for this project… and give them even more life with mixed-media pizazz!!!

A pretty cool synchronicity… This year is the year of the Wood Dragon, John and I will be celebrating 5 years of marriage this July, which the traditional gift is… you guessed it… Wood… and last but not least… We own a Woodworking/Woodburning Art business… Let the Magic Sawdust bring us, and you, all the wonderful we dream of and more! 🐉🐿️🐉

204 days strong into writing in my Morning Pages as inspired by Julia Cameron in “The Artist’s Way.”

Here’s to flowing that beautiful energy, devotion and passion forward into spending time everyday up in my wonderful Creative Studio…

My goal for participating in the 100 Day Project Challenge that I have been seeing all over IG… Especially (on Instagram)… is to build, strengthen, and grow my desire to create everyday into a passionate soul habit, as my Morning Pages are to me now.

This challenge begins on February 18th for 2024… Would love some accountability partners and/or cheerleaders… maybe some butt-kickers, too… to encourage and support me on this creative journey…

After all, my soul purpose is to Live My Own Beautiful… and to inspire you to Live Your Beautiful, too!!! 💫💜💫

BTW… The pic here is of my current Morning Pages notebook… and a little sketch of what our “empty mailbox” inspired to my heart and mind… 📭

My John Dearest gave me this trunk he got from an auction last October for my Birthday… I cleaned her up a bit, and now she serves as a functioning coffee table that stores my typewriter (also from an auction), and my creative books… so their right at my fingertips for inspiration… 💫💜💫

My first ever self-created art journal! Made from a upcycled macaroni & cheese box, mixed media art papers I have created and collected, as well as some pages from old thrifted books… Looking forward to filling this baby up! 🌞

🦋 I titled this book ~ Beginnings ~ as it is just the beginning of my mixed media, collaging, junking, art journaling & beyond journey. So blessed to have waltzed down this creative rabbit hole… Inspired by so many amazing artists that have helped awaken this 50-something-year-old soul art heart of mine.

⭐️ Stay tuned to see how I fuse my passion for Pyrography with my newfound love for mixed media in the upcoming 100 day creative project challenge I have courageously accepted! 😳😬😵‍💫

So last Friday night I attended a fun Galentines event at Lea B's Creations Furniture in downtown Ashton, IL… Had a wonderful time with Lea and my fellow artists. As part of my journey to Live the Artist Way (inspired by Julia Cameron), I scheduled this fun Artists Date for myself… and had a truly lovely time! But I need your help… the blue Jean rose piece is not complete… it needs something… like a fun quote or… something… Gotta any ideas for me? 💜

Loving myself more every blessed year… 💜

Women get more beautiful as they grow older.
Not less.

Female youth is only prized in modern culture because it doesn't represent as much of a threat spiritually to anyone who is frightened of divine feminine power.

As women grow and mature, they call in stronger forces of sacred feminine wisdom. They vibrate with the creative power of their stories.
They are more of a force to be reckoned with.
They see more, know more, feel more. They put up with a lot less bu****it.

When women are trained into thinking there is something fundamentally wrong with getting older, and are coerced into spending money, energy and power investing in 'slowing the signs of ageing', an enormous vault of divine love is lost.

Just think what would happen if all the women in the world started loving themselves even more with every year that passed.

Perhaps a total revolution would occur.
