Perhaps instead of making light as to whether or not the Haitians in Springfield, OH are eating pets, we might want to shine a light on more serious matters. I'm not sure why this isn't being discussed, but during the recent debate, when former President Trump stated that Vice President Harris is a Marxist, she never refuted that. Marxism is the doorway into communism - perhaps you want to investigate how successful Marxism has been. In addition, when Vice President Harris was asked if people are better off today than they were four years ago, she never answered the question, nor was she pushed by the moderators to answer the question. And please tell me what other country on the face of the earth would let you and I walk in without repercussions and consequences. I'm tired of living in Hans Christian Andersen's fairytale, The Emperor's New Clothes. If you really think you are better off today than you were four years ago, perhaps the brief article highlighting comments from Jamie Dimon might persuade you otherwise. Elections matter folks. And what in the world are we leaving for the next generations?

Time for Superintendents, Teachers and Parents to Step Up to Bullying

I was sickened when I learned of the attempted assassination of former President Trump by Thomas Matthew Crooks a 20-year-old from Bethel Park, PA.

As more is unfolding about Crooks past, it literally caused me to get physically sick. You see I too am a graduate of Bethel Park High School (BPHS) – many decades ago.

A day after the assassination attempt, I watched a brief news clip from a former classmate of Crooks stating, “the guy was bullied in high school all the time.” In 2018 I published a book about bullying, which also detailed the bullying I endured at BPHS every day. I know what pervasive bullying can do to one’s psyche and one’s soul. The shame is unimaginable.

Like Crooks, I too was an avid shooter and had access to weapons. While no teacher or student intervened on my behalf (to stop my homeroom bully) I never thought about taking someone else’s, life, only my own.

Thanks to the spiritual upbringing I had, I never followed through. I pray for President Trump’s healing, I pray for the family of Corey Comperatore, I pray for the other two victims and their families, and I pray that Superintendent’s, teachers and parents do not stick their heads in the sand on this one. As you witnessed on Saturday, July 13 in Butler, PA, bullying left unchecked can be a matter of life and death!

Very grateful for the lovely review from Kaelyn Van Camp for a recent speaking engagement I did!

Mary was an absolute pleasure to work with! She was our guest speaker at an internal work conference and went above and beyond to make sure everything was ready in advance. For example, a few days before our conference, she tested out her presentation at our event location to make sure everything would be smooth sailing day of. This was very appreciated.

Mary was very professional, easy to communicate with, and fun to work with, and she helped guide me to a topic that was the best fit for our group. Her presentation was very engaging, and I loved that she incorporated group participation. Our group enjoyed having her as our guest speaker, and without hesitation, I would definitely work with Mary again!

Do you recognize this young person? I do. For years, I blamed the playground bully, the high school bully, the bully boss...the list goes on. (I even published my first book about all of my external bullies - truly to help kids who'd been bullied). I allowed unkind, cruel and hurtful thoughts into my belief system. And for years, I battled self-confidence, self-esteem and self-love. Because once we accept these beliefs as truths, they shape our experiences. The saying goes, "our beliefs shape our experiences and our experiences confirm our beliefs." I'm so grateful that I now help others recognize the bully within - and with the right mindset, we can lean into that bully and emerge stronger, more confident and more empowered!
