Yesterday I had an amazing experience as a panelist on the SEMA Education stage. The first SEMA show I attended was 2017. I saw the all female build led my Bogi Lateiner and immediately knew this was the industry for me.

That same year I attended my first SEMA workshop. I sat in the audience and set a goal for myself to one day be on the SEMA Education stage. Yesterday was that day!

Women often ask me for advice about being in this industry. I tell all women the same thing... "Just keep showing up!" We are being disruptors by showing up every day...being heard...being seen.

Thank you Pamela Brown-Matthis for organizing a best-best-in class education event and a big thank you to Sara Morosan for recommending me as a panelist.

If you are in the industry and have not heard of SEMA Businesswomen's Network (SBN) you should take a little time and learn about it. It will be worth your time!

My heart melted when I saw this and I had to share it. I created the Femcanic Garage podcast to provide a platform for women to share their story 'her way'. It's easy to think that this small act...this podcast isn't making a difference in people's lives but then I see posts like this. Taylor Ferns is an accomplished racecar driver, law student, writer, race team owner, and businesswoman. She currently works at The Sam Bernstein Law Firm, which is also her primary sponsor. Taylor started her racing career at a young age, and throughout her 20-year racing tenure, she has won numerous races, championships, awards, and set records. Her awards read like a sizzle reel. Taylor is a United States Auto Club (USAC) champion, the youngest female driver to win a sprint car race, and the first female to win USAC midget and sprint car races at a multitude of racetracks. Taylor is also the first and only female to get the highest finish in USAC’s 51-year Silver Crown history.
