Forks in the Road

Elric's Lionhearted Force just scored a victory, gaining the alliance of Jarl Lief Seastrider, but the cost was heavy. They're down a Butch, Ret has gone Sith with the power of Vecna, Gwen is down in the dumps, Orpheus' emotional war wound was just freshly reopened, Ember is feeling way out of her depth, and Arnynn just Got Geas'ed by the Devil Lord Levistus.

What will the squad do next? Will they seek artefacts to help in the war at the lonely abandoned island of torture? Will they clear out the underwater/underground caves beneath Svicshev for the General and the Resistance? Or will they return with the Jarl and find themselves drawn into another set of unrelated shenanigans and goings-on?

Unwelcome Detours

As General Calliope's light incursion team figures out the best way to arrange the meeting with Jarl Lief Seastrider, there remains the call of the lonely island. That place of torture from ages past. A tempting treasure trove of secluded secrets and possibly terrible traps. Will Butch's Dedicated and Scruffy Misfits get themselves to the island where they might be confronted by the inhabitants? by monsters? by dragons? Will there be deep spike pits, gargoyles that release poisonous fumes, explosive runes? Magical weapons, cursed armor and wizard scrolls?

Arnynn's (shenanigans) squad races to complete their mission so that they may return to Conticaria, hopefully in time to save General Calliope von Duran. But if she is already dead, as per his and Butch's vision, what will our team do? Attempt to make a new base of operations in Socia? Contact the Whispering Grace? Or will they decide to continue to seek allies and forge an army of their own?

Repairs and Recovery

The aftermath of the Kraken weighs heavily on Orpheus' Resolute Company. The Narissa needs a lot of repairs. Half of her crew has been lost, along with much of their food and water. Not ones to take things lying down, however, the team has swung into action to ensure a safe trip home, without neglecting the time needed to heal.

Unintended Consequences

Our heroes have returned to find Conticaria nearly entirely destroyed. This news only softened only by the discovery that Captain Raine is alive, Anisra is also still with us, and General Calliope has said the resistance is strong.

What is the next step? Butch plans to consult his goddess, Gwen wants to accompany Raine's expedition, and Elric surely wants to burn the entire Kingdom of Shan to the ground.

Or will everything else be taken from them, too?

Uncovering the Coven

Gwen's Gang approaches the Twilight Coven, and while woefully unaware of the abilities of the wicked witches, the party's morale is high after rescuing the hill dwarf Ember Evenward of Kokalia. Orpheus has made some peace with the loss of Ret, Butch is confident in his ability to learn to cook, and Arnynn's skill at brooding continues to improve.

But questions remain: will Calliope's light incursion team successfully end the corrupt coven's capacity for continued cruelty? Will everyone survive the fight with their sanity intact? Just how sideways are things going to go this time?

Cauldron Hunting

Having escaped Sinalestra by the skin of their teeth, our Disheveled Miscreants press on in their pursuit of extinguishing the Twilight Coven. Hopefully the next stop will be the Seelie Court, not only to possibly gain allies in keeping the worlds from colliding, but also aid in locating the Twilight Coven and any knowledge useful for tearing it apart. Or, if Gwen's Gang happens to see the Coven from the air, they'll immediately descend and attempt to wreak havoc upon them.

Will our heros find allies? Will Elric forgive Arnynn for shooting him in the ass? Will Gwen get a good night sleep ever again?

Nevertheless, Gwen's gang must now escape the sinister city of Sinalestra either without arousing suspicion or without detection.

Confronting Nintra

It's taken many many days for the party to reach the tower of the Princess of the Shadow Glass, Nintra Siotta. Now they must decide how they will approach the situation: (a) attempt to convince her to undo the contract she has forged (doubtful), (b) make a different contract with her in its place (dangerous), or (c) attempt to undo the contract by unmaking her (in her own home, in her own city?).

So many goblins. Goblins so far as the eye can see. Are we out of the Fey Wild? It seems that way. After an explosive night, the very strange crew we joined forces with has sailed across the planes, taking us to a very strange place full of goblins. We've been promised they won't eat us, but can we be so sure? Can we trust the only goblin here that speaks Common? (He's really rude.)

Return to Sigil

The party has escaped from the second layer of Hell to Sigil, a.k.a. the Cage, the City of Secrets and the City of Doors. Will they take an opportunity to do some shopping? Will Imel's Happy Tongue, a tavern in the Market Ward famous for serving "Cheeses of the Planes", successfully serve them up a delicious means to return home quickly to aid in the war? Butch sure hopes so.

Wait, it's all Moxaxis?

Always has been (kinda). That's right. We learned last game session that Titivilus apparently "made a fresh start" and either had Dispater and his lieutenants assassinated, or discovered the situation and took advantage of it. Looks like Titivilus' second in command Moxaxis has been ruling the 2nd level of Hell for maybe hundreds of years. And Arnynn's Army of Robust Protagonists are about to do their damnedest to topple Moxaxis from this ill-gotten throne.

Will this be our first TPK?
