TRAFFIC ALERT!!! A multi-vehicle accident has traffic delayed this morning westbound on JR Allen Parkway, just after the Blackmon Road exit. Also, major flooding is occurring along Manchester Expressway near KFC. Avoid these areas this morning, and if you know of any other problem areas, please comment below so we can pass them along.

Potential Tropical Cyclone Six has been upgraded to Tropical Storm Francine! TS Francine has max sustained winds now of 50 mph with further intensification expected before making landfall somewhere along the Louisiana coast. Francine is forecasted to become a hurricane before landfall and could be as high as a Category 2 or 3 storm.

Locally, impacts will be marginal as we could see some outer bands swing through the area, mainly Thursday, but also into early Friday. Stay tuned as timing could change. The chance for isolated showers and storms look to linger into the weekend.

We have an important update to tomorrow’s Friday Night Concert. NEW LOCATION!! This Friday's concert has been moved to The Columbus Trade Center due to weather! It will be held in the South Hall of The Trade Center!

The concert will still start at 5:30pm with Abe Partridge performing, followed by Columbus GA Baseball big reveal then, Tommy Prine hitting the stage at 6pm with Homegrown: The Zac Brown Band Tribute Experience headlining at 8pm!!👏🏼🎶

Looks a wet Friday is in store for tomorrow! Locally here in Columbus and Phenix City, we could see anywhere between 1 and 3 inches. North of Columbus, the estimated rainfall amount drops off quite a bit, but South of Columbus, rain amounts will likely be as much, if not a little higher. Bottom line, umbrellas will be needed tomorrow!

A few more storms have developed this evening and will be impacting parts of the Chattahoochee Valley. All this activity is moving off to the south-southeast at about 30-35 mph. The first storm has already moved into North Columbus. Careful on the roadways tonight! We are still under a Severe Thunderstorm WATCH until 11:00 PM EDT/10:00 PM CDT, but nothing is Severe at the moment.

Showers and storms are approaching the area this afternoon, a few of which are Severe. All this activity is moving off to the southeast at 30 MPH. One strong storm is moving through the LaGrange area and will be moving into Harris County shortly, so heads up Pine Mountain and Hamilton.
