There are some that get whatever paranormal knowledge they think they have from watching paranormal tv shows. It's obvious that Guy McCort of Ascending Paranormal is one of those. In observing a few of his videos of his "investigations" that's pretty obvious. Sadly Mr McCort is mostly into selling merchandise and his fictional book. Mr McCort has said that he started on YouTube but lost the following he did get on there, (wasn't getting enough views). Seen some of his YouTube videos, they're not very good. His appearance is just as bad. Very unprofessional.
He pretends to "talk" with spirits by using apps he purchased.
Since he failed on YouTube he's started using Facebook and sends out invites to random pages to join his Facebook group page. He even sent an invite to this page. It wasn't accepted.
He recently did one of his "investigations" at the Downer Manor in the Shady Bend area west of Newcomerstown. The new owners of that old home went along with it for publicity for their own tours of the house and had it put in area newspapers...Times Reporter and The Jeffersonian in Cambridge. Of course McCort and the new owners of Downer Manor both posted about the newspapers on their respective pages.
To top it all off, in the meme on this post, the figure at the TV line has the name "zack". It's funny because McCort has used the name zack when referring to the "spiritual contacts" he's made.
To do these things as entertainment is one thing but they're presenting it as real.
So, just remember, paranormal is entertainment only.
