DR. IRIS ANN COOPER AKA “DR. I”
Dr. Iris Ann Cooper’s career includes leadership positions in financial services, economic development, community service, communication, government, entrepreneurship, and education.

She is the owner of “JustAskIris!” an entrepreneurial coaching firm, specializing in food enterprises and products. Iris is a founder of Glory Foods, Inc., a multi-million-dollar food marketing company and has launched several successful enterprises during her career. She is known nationally as a business strategy expert and has coached various startups to sustainability. Iris is the former Director of the Ohio Division of Entrepreneurship and Small Business, where Iris led the state from 29th worst place for small businesses in 2007 to the ninth best in the nation, and first in the Midwest in four years. Iris recently received the Amos Lynch Legacy Award from Champions of Diversity and the Sharon Burkes Soar Award from Franklin County Children’s Services for her advocacy work in Central Ohio. Iris is a published author, featured writer, keynote speaker on a variety of topics, and an adjunct professor at noted universities. A domestic violence survivor, Iris concealed her abuse for over 12 years, until freedom appeared. When the Devil is Beating His Wife: A Christian Perspective on Domestic Violence and Recovery, coauthored with Melanie Houston, provides a fictional account of three female victims, with resources and advice on safely starting life over.

Her contributions to entrepreneurship are in the History Makers Collection at the Smithsonian Institute. She is a current member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., the National Coalition of 100 Black Women-Central Ohio Chapter, and the Indiana University Alumni Association. She recently launched “The Window,” an internet radio show that includes information on current national and international topics with her esteemed colleague, Dr. JoAnna Williamson. Iris holds a BA in Journalism and an MBA in Marketing from Indiana University and is a proud Consortium for Graduate Study in Management Alumni. She also attended Fisk University for two years. Her DBA is from Walden University in Entrepreneurship and her doctoral study was on small business mortality entitled “The First Four Years: A Small Business Sustainability Study.”

DR. JOANNA WILLIAMSON AKA “DR. JO”
JoAnna Williamson, Ph.D, JD, MBA, has four decades of experience in creating marketing and strategic communication plans for organizations and individuals. She now uses this expertise to facilitate human interaction in all aspects of our daily lives.

Dr. Williamson has achieved accolades and executive-level stature and results in the corporate, non-profit, academic, entrepreneurial, media and legal sectors.

She is a respected strategist, facilitator, mediator, presenter, speaker, instructor, panelist, trainer and coach for local, regional and national organizations, conferences, professional schools, webinars, special events and spiritual gatherings. She has won awards and accolades for her extensive professional and volunteer contributions to her community and society.

Dr. Williamson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in Marketing from The Ohio State University, a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Capital University Law School and a Doctor of Philosophy degree (Ph.D.) in strategic communication from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

After early positions in journalism and public relations, JoAnna was recruited into product management with The Procter & Gamble Company in Cincinnati, Ohio. She then moved into financial services marketing, rising to the position of Senior Vice President of Marketing for the largest retail affiliate of the Cleveland-based National City Corporation, where she managed the retail, corporate, trust, market research, advertising, public relations, telemarketing, sales support, product management and service quality departments, and later served in a legal capacity as a compliance and labor law attorney.

She has been a marketing vice president for the credit card and national lending divisions of Bank One Corporation (now JPMorgan Chase & Co.), vice president of marketing and vice president for resource development for United Way of Central Ohio, and President and CEO of a United Way-funded agency. As an entrepreneur, Dr. Williamson provides holistic communication services to individuals and organizations in a wide variety of industries and endeavors. She has received awards and accolades for her service on numerous professional and community boards and committees.
