Waking up today feeling blessed and EXHAUSTED from catching up with the fam at last nights show. We broke capacity AGAIN! That’s two SOLD OUT shows in a row 🙏❤️ My phone was pretty tied up so I unfortunately didnt get many photos. But I owe a million thanks to the hometown that never stop believing in me and the amazing family of friends the travelled to take part in Home for the Holidaze.

These days aren’t always the easiest for everyone. So if you’re struggling to get through the season then try your best to see the Light in the darkest times by closing your eyes, relax your heart and let it come to you. Be patient with life and love yourself through the darkness.

Today marks the beginning of long journey thru my history of songwriting and recording. Over the next 2 years I will be releasing hand picked new/old recordings every two weeks from my collection and telling the story along the way.

From 2004 to today there was enough material recorded to create 23 full albums. Most of the recordings never made it past a few physically burned copies, demos or have never been heard due to my turtle process. 😂 Or ya know if I’m being honest and open… I just wanted myself to sound better and the tape doesn’t lie.. I needed work 😂 Nonetheless - here we are. Humility is a good thing, right?

I’ve decided to start the story in 2006 when I was given the opportunity to record a live show at Max’s Place in Bloomington, IN. I was 25 singing songs about Bud Light while drinking quite a bit of it myself while trying to entertain my drunken compadres but at the same time I was tapping into songs of my deep thoughts and feelings. I wanted to be a passionate singer/songwriter and it felt good when my toughest friends whom I looked up to would sob from the stories and ask me to keep writing. It felt good to have a purpose and a therapy.

The Max’s Place show was full of family and friends who wanted to support my dream. They ate a TON of pizza and drank all the Bud Light in which the staff had to leave and purchase more cases from the liquor store.. twice I believe.. to keep up with us. Thanks to Travers Marks (who owned Max’s Place at the time), the word that my friends bring a drinkin party got to Dave Kubiak at the Bluebird (the marquee venue in Bloomington). I was hired to perform there immediately. It was another dream come true!

I am extremely grateful for all the friends and family that stood behind me that day. My mother was at the show - her favorite song was “Monday Morning” which is also one of the reasons I chose to release it. The other song I chose is called “The Light”. It’s a song about trying to find the best in people in the worst situations.

Today you can find “Monday Morning” and “The Light” from Live at Max’s Place on all platforms. I hope you enjoy the raw sounds and the story.

How are you feeling today?

Now’s the time of year that we get the good ol SEASONAL DEPRESSION! Yaaaaa! I like I’m in a frozen harbor here in Indiana with frigid temps and snow dusting. So I figure it’s a great reason to where my Maryland threads since they’re a nice, sunshiny yellow! Find your happy and GO WITH IT!

I’m coming Home for the Holidaze!

Join me in my hometown at the historic Columbus Bar in Columbus, IN. The "CB" originally opened in 1939 and still stands as Indiana’s first brewery since the Civil War and one of Indiana’s oldest operating bars. The unique interior brings a special ambiance to this intimate performance. I’m also bringing feature act Ross Keller, a multifaceted artist, bud of mine and co-owner of one of our favorite smoothie/juice/wellness shops The Nifty Beet.
