TRIGGER WARNING, UPSETTING PHOTO ⛔️

DOWN YEARLING BABY IN THE SLAUGHTER FACILITY

This little Dutch harness horse cross baby was caught between another larger horse and the gate.

Unfortunately she was injured in the tussle and is down and needs immediate medical help. We’ve got a vet en route but we NEED to raise the funds for her medical and any emergency care she might need.

She has got a chance but she needs out RIGHT NOW if she’s got any chance of making it. Joe is coming as quickly as he can with the trailer.

Ally is with her but we need the community we trust and believe in so strongly to rally now.

We will not have an update within minutes of posting this. The date of how long ago it was posted is right under our name.

Let’s save her life.

Please donate from where ever you are! These horses are packed in and go on a truck to a slaughter house, killed for the meat to be shipped over seas. We have people from all over the world who donates. ANY amount adds up! 🙏🏼

💥ALERT💥 LAST RESCUE FOR THIS YEAR!!
Help CCR out and get these babies saved. Amish are dumping horses left and right. Help me spread awareness for these horses who are slaughtered for meat to other countries. Any amount helps even $5, $25 $100. Donation info in link!!

URGENT FUNDRAISER 🚨

Horses at the slaughter holding facility need our help. They will ship to slaughter without it. My hands are too frozen to type. But now more than ever, we need your help and donations. We need people to meet a $25 or $100 or $5 challenge.

I wish I could write some long eloquent post about why these horses deserve your help but it’s too cold and they’re in too rough of shape to delay rendering them the care they desperately need.

These three terrified horses are about to be on a slaughter truck shipping to Canada. They will be driven across the border and brutally rendered for their meat.

It’s not too late to save them.

It’s sad that people are resorting to stealing horses to sell at auction that aren’t their horses. 🤬 Then they end up in a slaughter holding facility to be shipped and killed. 😢 I hope they are found safe. 🙏🏼

THERE ARE HORSES GOING TO DIE …

Nothing depresses me more than when someone I know that works at the horse slaughter facility sends me a picture like this one.

“I know you’re not currently planning to come,” he says to me later, “but there are a whole mess of horses in here.”

I sighed into the phone.

This time of the year is awful. The Amish are dumping their old, unwanted and injured horses for pennies on the dollar and the slaughter facility buyer is buying big every single week.

The drastic reduction in market prices of the unwanted horses is to blame.

But…

For us to go back… Already?

Emotionally it seems hard. I also don’t want to treat our following and incredibly supportive donors like an ATM. That’s not what you are. You are the reason we’ve done incredible thing after incredible thing this year.

And I will always be grateful for that.

And then I look at the tired and exhausted faces in this picture. The hopeful ears of the horse behind them. Look at them. Truly SEE them. You see the fear, pain and exhaustion of being in these terribly cramped quarters.

They will be there either way. Whether we come or don’t come.

So… Will help come?

I know what Ally will say if I show the photo to her.

“What makes them any less deserving of help than any horse rescued from here before?”

Snatched from the jaws of certain death— a long trailer to Canada or Mexico to be brutally murdered for their meat. That’s their future.

So…Nothing. Nothing makes them less deserving. They deserve to be helped too.

So I want to go back… it won’t be near as many horses as last time (per my contacts last estimate it’s about 45 horses) with 30 leaving on a load to Canada Friday.

It hasn’t had a chance to get packed and overcrowded yet.

45… That’s easy breezy for CCR compared to what we’ve done.

But as always, I leave it up to you. Do we go back? Do we help? Or do we sit this one out and head back mid November as planned…
