Grand Lake community emerges from East Troublesome Fire
In October of 2020, the East Troublesome Fire burned a total of 193,812 acres and jumped the continental divide in Rocky Mountain National Park, becoming the second largest wildfire in Colorado history. Backyard Bees
Leonard and Dolly Rickerman own and operate Rocky Mountain Bee Supply in Colorado Springs. What started out as a hobby quickly grew into a downtown store that offers everything from protective gear and tools to classes for local bee enthusiasts. “Our biggest thing is to educate people on honeybees and how to properly care for them, to be advocates for the bees, to get people excited about them,” Dolly says. Zipping to Graduation
Seniors at The University School celebrated a social-distanced graduation on Friday, May 22, 2020 by zip-lining from their school building to a stage to grab their diplomas. The private Christian K4-12 school in Old Colorado City is best known for their adventure program. Because their real graduation ceremony was postponed due to COVID-19, the staff wanted to incorporate a creative and fun way to embrace the circumstances while celebrating 24 of their graduating seniors' accomplishments.
