It feels like everyone nailed their hires. Well, almost everyone. The Dallas hire feels like another yes man for Jerry, not necessarily the best head coaching candidate option. The Saints sound like they could be on the verge of hiring McCarthy, which wouldn’t be a bad hire to right the ship a little bit and help figure out if Rattler can be the future. I actually like the Pete hire for the Raiders because he will bring in an identity for that team that they can actually build around. If I’m the Raiders I’m hiring the Vikings OC and signing Darnold right now, using that high pick in the draft to add to the offensive line and building from there. Still plenty of interesting off season moves to be made, we’re just getting started.

With the Cowboys hiring Brian Schottenheimer, the Saints are the only team with a head coaching vacancy.

I know there are a lot of great players in the NBA. I completely understand that SGA is having another incredible year while playing on the best team in the NBA. I believe Jokic is the most valuable player to his team and also the best player in the league. Yeah, I’m a Nuggets fan, but I can watch the game objectively and continuously be amazed at what he is doing. He’s getting better.

Congratulations to The Ohio State Buckeyes on clinching the national championship in the first 12 team playoff. In my opinion, this is the hardest road to a championship in the history of College football. Are the tides shifting in multiple ways for the sport? The next couple of years will be telling.

I’m truly not sure how I feel about Johnson. I think he’s a really good coordinator that might be great. I saw too many “cute” plays. The type that says I’m smarter than everyone else now watch. Then, I saw brilliant plays that were innovative and purposeful, putting players in position to succeed. He will be walking into a position where the GM is a lame duck, if the season goes poorly he will be out. A GM that has zero clue on how to team build. A roster loaded with talent but not at all the key areas required. I do believe he and Williams will be able to work well together and Johnson will be able to help Williams grow. Bears got their guy. I’m not sure if it matters right now.

Each one of the losers had their opportunities to win and could not capitalize on their moments. It could be argued that each team that lost gave the game away and the winner did not actually take the game and put it out of reach. The championship games have a ton of storylines. I think the biggest will be the idea of repeat matchups. Philly and Washington split their regular season matchups and both games were close. Buffalo beat KC in the regular season, but we all know the record once the postseason starts.

The second half of the championship round is set. Philly did just enough to get by LA. Saquon is dispelling all myths about RBs not being an important piece. Buffalo played solid football. They did everything required to win the game. Baltimore have that game away. Turnovers and dropped balls were brutal.

Half of the Championship games are set. Both teams took full advantage of the opportunities that the other teams gave them. The Chiefs got a few questionable calls. Whoever they play next, they won’t be able to just barely skate by. Washington, on the other hand, is playing with house money and making all the right calls. That rookie QB is for real on a different level.

Dodgers have zero excuses, outside of the obvious injury to everyone excuse, for not repeating next year. Their bats and arms are loaded. It’s crazy to think they have basically assembled an all star team to go out and play 162 games. 🤯 Baseball NEEDS a legit salary cap.

Longtime Milwaukee Brewers broadcaster Bob Uecker has died at the age of 90, the team announced.
