Optimism, in my understanding, is not merely a positive outlook or wishful thinking; rather, it embodies a fundamental belief in the inherent goodness and growth potential within each individual.

Overthinking is a natural and common human experience. (I'm guilty!) When we find ourselves overanalyzing a situation or problem, it can be a sign that we are not fully in touch with our genuine feelings surrounding the subject or a conflict within our inner experiences. I find it helpful to create a non-judgmental and empathetic space to explore my thoughts and emotions. In doing so, I can begin to understand the underlying concerns and fears that may be driving the overthinking.

Never forget everyone is a work in progress! By being open to trying new things, we can expand our horizons, build self-confidence, and deepen our understanding of ourselves. So, it's perfectly acceptable to be a 'work in progress' and to make mistakes along the way.

When speaking to someone and that person has an overreactive response, emotional maturity allows us to step to the side of our hurt and insecurities and respond with empathy. And typing this lets me know that I still have a ways to go to reach emotional security.

I have found that trying to maintain this attitude when busy is a challenge. Therefore, it is smart to learn to be less busy and have more time for people. 📷:?

If your life doesn't feel full it may not be because you are missing big pieces. It might be because you are overlooking all of the cool little things that are already happening all around you. The best stuff is often the little stuff. Practicing gratitude is AWESOME. It improves our overall well-being, as it helps us focus on the positives in our lives and acknowledge the blessings we may overlook. So, stop overlooking.

By fostering a non-judgmental and empathetic relationship with ourselves, we can cultivate the conditions necessary to flourish, as we move toward a more congruent and fulfilling existence. The power to create change in one's own life is an inherent and deeply human capacity. When we embark on a journey of self-exploration and self-acceptance, we tap into our authentic selves, paving the way for personal growth and transformation. 📷: motivational lines

There was a time in my life when I wanted the straight line. Set a goal; Achieve the goal. Any departure was seen as a distraction that needed to be bulldozed down. Now, I kind of look forward to the twists and turns. The journey matters. 📷: Mounika.studio

Emotions are not just thoughts. Although thoughts and emotions are closely intertwined, they represent different aspects of our mental and psychological experiences. Emotions are intricate and can be intense and overwhelming at times. It can be beneficial to take a step back and observe what we are feeling. We can also rephrase our statements from "I am angry" to "I feel angry," which can be helpful.

If you don't want people to continue to push your buttons, stop labeling them so clearly. I grew up with the last name of Airey. You can imagine the picking I received from the nicknames in school: Airhead, Airbrain, etc. But, my dad gave me a good piece of advice. He said, "Ignore them, or better yet, laugh along with them. Make them feel unoriginal, 'You've heard it all before.' Don't let them realize you are sensitive about it and they will leave you alone." Obviously, that kind of advice doesn't always work, but it definitely worked for me. Think about it. It might work for you as well.

The Greeks invented and created so many incredible works. But what I especially find impressive is that they evidently did most of it in the n**e. Maybe Steven Covey needs to add another habit for Highly Effective People: Do more in the buff!

Playing the short game with a long life seems like a bad bet. Please, prioritize yourself. Take your lunch. Take your breaks. They are built into the system for good reasons. Besides, since your work is important shouldn't you make sure a healthy you is around to continue it?

I deal with insomnia and this advice works for me some of the time:

"Try to stay in the moment."

When your mind wanders bring it back to the bed. Focus on what you are feeling. Describe the pillow. Snuggle the sheet or comforter. Are your feet cold? Go through your five senses. Can you smell anything? Hear anything? Now, relax.
