Part 5:

We become saved by believing in Jesus Christ and that He died on the cross for us. Once we believe we enter into a union with Christ Jesus. We become one with Him and all that He is. Once we begin to realize who we are, we begin to be transformed into all He is. We go from being corruptible to being incorruptible thus being born again. The one thing that keeps us from entering the fullness of Jesus, and His life, is the carnal mind. Jesus has already defeated that carnal mind but we must go through the process of renewing our mind to the mind of Christ Jesus. We renew our mind by studying the scriptures and seeking to know Jesus as a person. When I read the scriptures and meditate on them I begin to see the attributes of the risen Christ Jesus and begin to know I am like Him. This renewing of the mind is further accomplished by seeking the truth about who we really are. Continue to ask the Holy Spirit to teach us who we are and who Jesus Christ is in God. Ask the Holy Spirit that this mind be renewed to the mind of Christ that we may know Him and all that He is and that we may be like Him. I leave you with scriptures to show you who you are and that God has chosen you. John 15:16 says; “You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” Ask and you shall receive. We are a chosen in Him. Ephesians 1:4 says; “According as he has chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:” Realize who you truly are in HIM! 1 Peter 2:9 says; “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light:” God left us two commandments as written in Luke 10:27, which says, “And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.” John 14:21 says; “He that has my commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves me: and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.” 1 John 4:16 tells us; “And we have known and believed the love that God has to us. God is love; and he that dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him.” When we enter that union with God, we become one with God and all that He is, and God is LOVE!

Part 4:

New Creature: Genesis 2:7 says; “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” Since Adam was created, and not birthed, he cannot take part in the inheritance of God like Jesus can, because Jesus is a birthed son of God. We are initially born of the seed of Adam through the lust of the flesh, making us a carnal beings. When we become born again we become birthed sons of God, making us spiritual beings. Since we are born again of Jesus we go from being created of the seed of Adam, the old man, to being born again of the seed of Jesus, the new man. We become all that Jesus is, including joint heirs of God, giving us the same rights to the inheritance that Jesus has. Colossians 3:24 tells us; “Knowing that of the Lord you shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for you serve the Lord Christ.” Romans 8:17 further confirms this saying; “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.” Again the old creature that was in Adam is done away with. When we become born again, we become a new creature in Christ Jesus. 2nd Corinthians 5:17 states; “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” We are under the bo***ge of the corruptible seed of Adam until we are born again. Romans 8:21 saying; “Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bo***ge of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.” Galatians 6:15 says; “For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.” When we are born again and become that new creature, we become all of the fullness of God in that instant as stated in Colossians 2:9-10, which says; “For in him dwells all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And you are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:” However that carnal mind that Adam obtained when he ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil still exists and is the last enemy of God to be defeated. Romans 8:6-7 confirms this saying; “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.” Further 1 Corinthians 15:26 says; “The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.” As we are now new creatures in Christ Jesus we must spend time with Him and get to know Him as a person to understand who we truly are. The only way we can really do this is by the renewing of our mind to the mind of Christ as stated in Romans 12:2, which says; “And be not conformed to this world: but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” This renewing of our carnal mind will allow us to manifest this new man that we have become as stated in Colossians 3:9-10, that says; “Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created him:” When this carnal mind is renewed to the mind of Jesus, we become as He is and begin to manifest the Kingdom of God as written in the previous section. Colossians 3:11-17 says; “Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do you. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also you are called in one body; and be you thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.” The word charity is mentioned several times in scriptures concerning God’s kingdom and how we are to act toward one another, Strong’s Concordance defines charity as LOVE. 1 John 4:12 says; “No man has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwells in us, and his love is perfected in us. Further 1 John 2:5 tells us; “But whoso keeps his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.” When we become this new creature and become all that He is we become Love just as He is.

Part 3:

Union: Once we are born again we enter into a union with Christ Jesus. A union is defined as joining or being joined, such as being in a marriage. Marriage is the joining of a man and woman. Once this joining happens, it is not complete until the marriage is consummated between the husband and wife. The first definition of consummate is to complete a marital union by sexual in*******se. Other equally important definitions of consummate means: to finish, complete, or to make perfect. This first definition of consummate brings a husband and wife from two flesh beings to one flesh being. Ephesians 5:31 confirms this, saying; “For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.” We are joined to Jesus just as a husband is joined to his wife as stated in 1st Corinthians 6:17, which says, “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one Spirit.” We become one spirit with Christ Jesus. When we are joined to Christ we become one with Him and no man can separate us. Matthew 19:6 says; “wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man put asunder.” Romans 8:10-11 tells us; “And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwells in you.” When we become one with Christ we become a new creature in Him as stated in 2nd Corinthians 5:17, which says; “Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” Further, when we become one with Christ we take on His mind as stated in Philippians 2:5-6, which says; “Let this mind be in you, which is also in Christ Jesus: who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God.” Let us look again at the other definitions of the word consummate: to finish, complete, or to make perfect. Colossians 2:10 tells us; “And you are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power:” 1st John 2:5 says; “But whoso keeps His word, in him verily is the Love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him.” Romans 8:1-2 says; “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” Galations 2:20 says; “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet, not I but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.” When we enter into a union (become one) with Christ Jesus, we become His nature, His mind, and all that He is, as stated in Philippians 1: 27, which says; “Only let your conversation be as it becomes the gospel of Christ: than whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one Spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel.” When we become one with Christ we begin to love as He loves. Paul tells us how to love as Christ loves in Ephesians 5:21-32, which says; “Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Wives submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it; that He may sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be Holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loves his wife love himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourish and cherish it, even as the Lord the church. For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones. For this cause shall a man leave his Father and Mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: But I speak concerning Christ and the Church.” We are the wife, carnally minded, when we enter that marriage with Jesus. However, He becomes the head of our household through that marriage union and as we submit to Jesus we begin to renew our carnal mind to the mind of Christ Jesus. We begin to go from carnal thinking to spiritual thinking. Romans 8:6-7 states; “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.” Romans 12:2 tells us; “And be not conformed to this world: but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.” Further in Ephesians 4:23 we read; “And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;” When we join Christ and form that union with Him, we begin to love as He loves, that old man is put away and we become a new creature as stated in 2nd Corinthians 5:17, which says; “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away: behold, all things are become new.” In the next section will will take a closer look at this new creature.

Part 2:

Born again: John 1:1 says; “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Jesus was born not of Joseph’s (man’s) seed but of the seed of God. This seed was given to Mary in the form of the Word spoken to her by an angel of the Lord. Thus planting the seed of God in her by the Holy Ghost and she believed. Luke 1:28-31 confirms this, saying; “And the angel came unto her and said. Hail, you are highly favored, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. And the angel said unto her, fear not Mary: for you have found favor with God. And behold, you shall conceive in your womb, and bring forth a son, and shall call His name JESUS.” Because the Word was spoken unto Mary and she believed, then Jesus was conceived of and born of the Word of God, which is the incorruptible seed of God. When we are born again we also are born of God’s word, that incorruptible seed. 1st Peter 1:23-25 says; “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God, which live and abide for ever. For all flesh is grass, and all the glory of man is the flower of grass. The grass wither and the flower thereof fall away. But the Word of the Lord endures forever. And this is the Word which by the gospel is preached unto you.” The old man, Adam, was born of corruptible seed when he heard the word of the serpent through Eve and, disobeyed God. He ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thereby, condemning not only himself to death, but all mankind as well. The new man, Jesus, is born of the incorruptible Word of God. Incorruptible means not liable to decay, imperishable, immortal, or of the risen dead. 1st Corinthians 15:52 says; “ In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” John 3:3 says; “Jesus answered and said unto him, verily, verily I say unto you, Except a man be born again, He cannot see the kingdom of God.” Romans 14:17 describes the Kingdom of God, saying; “For the kingdom of God is not meat; but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.” In Strong’s Concordance the word Spirit is defined as God’s personality, the spiritual nature of Christ, or current of air that is breath. John 20:22 says; “And when He said this, He breathed on them and said unto them, receive you the Holy Ghost.” John 3:7-8 tells us; “marvel not that I said unto you, you must be born again. The wind blows where it lists, and you hear the sound thereof, but cannot tell from where it comes or where it goes: So is every one that is born of the Spirit.” When we are born again we become a new creature, thus becoming as He is, one with Jesus, becoming as the Kingdom of God. We become His righteousness, His peace, His patience, and His joy in the Holy Ghost. Ultimately we become as God is…LOVE.

Part 1

To Believe: John 3:16 says; “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” And Romans 1:16 says; “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first and also the Greek.” Romans 10:9 says; “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. In 1st Timothy 4:10 we read; “For therefore we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of ALL MEN, specially of those that believe.” Those that believe have the opportunity to become born again, which will be covered in the next section. Further in Revelation 3:20 we read; “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” When we open the door to Christ Jesus and allow Him to come into our heart we become born again, thus becoming, a new creature in that instant. Now let’s take a closer look at being born again. As you read the following sections bare in mind what is written in 1st John 2:27, which says; “But the anointing which you have received of Him abides in you, and you need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it has taught you, you shall abide in Him.” As you study, ask the Holy Spirit to teach you. Luke 11:10 says; “For every one that asks receives, and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it will be opened.” Seek and you will find!

When we receive Christ as our Lord and Savior, we go through a process. This process is to first believe that He is God and accept Him as our Savior. At that point we enter into a union with Him, becoming one with Him, thus becoming born again, and a new creature in Christ Jesus. In this study we will learn these steps by reading scriptures associated with each part of this process.

In my last post I defined the heart of stone as stated in Ezekiel 36:26-27 that says: “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you shall keep my judgments, and do them.” In this post we will define the heart of flesh and how it applies to the born again Christian. To fully understand this heart of flesh we must first understand our relationship with Christ Jesus. The first thing we can say about the heart of flesh is that it represents the Grace of God. The New Testament definition of Grace means the divine influence on the heart producing a change especially thankfulness. This initial effect of “Grace” on our heart is the actual exchange of hearts from a heart of stone to a heart of flesh. In reality, this new “heart of flesh” represents a change in attitude and ways of thinking. So when Ezekiel 36:26 says “a new spirit I will put within you” it is talking about new attitudes. Under the law the stony heart would have an attitude of no forgiveness, and a judgmental, unyielding lack of love for others. And their way of thinking would always conform to the worldly, or carnal way of thinking. However, under Grace, the heart of flesh would have an attitude of forgiveness, never judging another by the flesh, full of the Love of God, and they will be spiritually minded.

We can keep in mind that this heart of flesh can be used to replace the words love or charity anywhere those words are written in the New Testament. For example, in 1 Corinthians 13:7-8 it says charity; “bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things, charity never fails”. So we can replace charity to get “the heart of flesh bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things, the heart of flesh never fails”. The reason that this statement is true is because of the new spirit that God has placed in us as written in Ezekiel 36:27 that says; “and I will put My Spirit within you”. Most people would confuse the statement that God makes when He says “My Spirit” to mean the “Holy Spirit” and that cannot be denied because as we will see, to define our relationship with Christ will end up taking us in a circle. In 1 Corinthians 6:17 Paul writes; “but he that is joined to the Lord is one spirit.” So when we receive Christ as our savior the Holy Spirit joins us to Christ in a union that causes us to have the same spirit as Jesus has in Him. And since Jesus is joined to our Father as one Spirit then Jesus has God’s Spirit in Him. So guess what??? God’s Spirit is the Holy Spirit which is the Spirit of Love since God is Love.

So with the Spirit of Love now in us God can write His commandments upon our heart and we will keep every one of them automatically because Love fulfills the law. Paul tells us in Galatians 5:14; “for all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; you shall love your neighbor as yourself.” With all this information we can easily conclude that this new heart of flesh truly is God’s heart of Love given to us by Grace.

To sum up the last two posts, we should know that the stony heart means that we are under the law and walking in the vanity of our flesh with a carnal understanding. We will always have a judgmental attitude of others showing little or no mercy and walk without the Love of God in our heart. Under the stony heart we will always walk in guilt, self-condemnation, and fear of impending judgment from God.

But with the new heart of flesh we will know and understand Romans 7:6 that says; “But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit (under grace), and not in the oldness of the letter (under law).” With this new heart of flesh we will live in a love relationship with our Heavenly Father through our union with Christ Jesus. This will cause us to fulfill the two commandments that Jesus left us which were to love God and love each other (Matthew 22:37-40). In doing so we not only fulfill all of the law but we can walk without fear and condemnation. 1 John 4:18 tells us; “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear: because fear has torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love.” ❤️❤️❤️

I recently wrote about the exchange of hearts from Ezekiel 36:26-27 which says: “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you shall keep my judgments, and do them.” I was asking the Lord, “How do these two verses about the exchange of heart of flesh apply to Christians”? In order to understand how these verses apply to the born again, we must first understand the difference between the heart of stone and the heart of flesh. The heart of stone represents two aspects which are; (1) the Law of Moses, which are the Ten Commandments, and (2) man walking in the “flesh”, which is the same as being “carnally minded”.

Let’s take a look at what Paul writes in Romans 7:5 that says; “For when we were “in the flesh”, the motions of sins, which were “by the Law”, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto “death”. Some of the evidence that people are walking in a “heart of stone” is seen not only by their attitudes but also what they express in their daily lives. Mainly, under the Law, there is no flexibility, people are hard hearted, showing little or no mercy, and as called in the Old Testament they are “stiff necked”. Those who are under the Law are not capable of expressing the love of God and will usually have a very self-righteous attitude. They almost always believe they have lived a near perfect life and will continually judge others. We can read where Stephen was confronting some Jewish people who were under the Law, in Acts 7:51 that states: “You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, you do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do you.” This stony heart is very common place in today’s Christian churches that are under the Law. In Romans 8:6-7 Paul tells us clearly: “For to be carnally minded is death. Because the carnal mind is “enmity” against God.”

When people are resisting the truth of God that is being shared with them, you can know that in every case those doing the resisting are under the Law and contain a stony heart. Let us be clear in our understanding of the Law as Paul writes in Romans 7:7; “What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? God forbid. No, I had not known sin, but by the Law: for I had not known lust, except the Law had said, Thou shalt not covet”. We must understand that it was man that could not keep a Holy Law because Sin lives in our physical body, and we were ruled by our vanity. Even still as Paul wrote in this 7th verse; “I had not known sin, but by the Law”. And in Romans 3:20 Paul writes; “for by the Law is the “knowledge of sin”. If we take away the Law, we would not even know what sin is. And Paul tells us more in Romans 7:8 where he writes; “But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence, which means evil desires. For without the Law sin was dead. For I was alive without the Law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.” So we can see that walking in the flesh is the same thing as being under the Law and that both only lead to “death”. Obviously Paul is not talking about physical death, he is saying the fruit of our walk will have no spiritual life of God in it. Paul gives us the perfect example of what the Law does in Romans 7:9 that states; “For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died”.

So from this information we can conclude that to walk in the flesh is to have a stony heart and we know that the stony heart, which is governed by the Law, cannot love as God loves. This is why God felt it necessary to take out a heart of Law and place in us a heart of grace. We will continue with what the “heart of flesh” is in my next post. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

How is the righteousness of the law established in us?

In Paul’s writings we see several instances where we are told that the law has been moved out of our way so that we do not need to use our efforts to fulfill the law. In one case, Paul even tells us that to teach the law and mix it with grace would cause us to be accursed. Yet Paul tells us in Romans 3:31 saying: “Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.” The definition of “establish” in this case would mean to “set up a set of rules on a firm and permanent basis”. Since Christ fulfilled the law for us, then the law is established in us at the time Christ enters our heart. We automatically become the righteousness of God through our union with Jesus.

Ezekiel chapter 36 verses 26-27 tell us that God was going to make a way to replace the law that was written on stone, with the law that is written upon our hearts; Ezekiel says: “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you shall keep my judgments, and do them.” The stony heart that Ezekiel refers to represents the Ten Commandments that were written in stone. What we should understand is that a stony heart, or the stone that the law was written on, was not flexible. Under the law man was not capable of loving the way God loves, and there was no mercy nor forgiveness. So by giving us a new spirit through the Christ that is in us, we are now capable of expressing His love.

Romans 13:8 says: “Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loves another has fulfilled the law.” And in 1st John 3:6 we read: “Whosoever abides in Him sins not: whosoever sins has not seen Him, neither known Him.” Further in Galatians 5:14 we read: “For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Then in 1st Corinthians 13:3-8 we read: “And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profits me nothing. Charity suffers long, and is kind; charity envies not; charity vaunts not itself, is not puffed up, Does not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil; Rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Charity never fails:”

Strong’s Concordance gives one definition of Charity as “Love”. When we understand that God is love and this new heart of flesh that He has given us is really His love. Then we can understand it is possible to fulfill all of the law without even thinking about it. Love would be a spontaneous action that would allow us to fulfill the two commandments that Jesus left us in Mark 12:30-31 which says: “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like unto it, namely this, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is none other commandment greater than these.” These two commandments are the Law that is established in our new heart of flesh.

So by abiding in Love we are abiding in God therefore we fulfill all of God’s laws automatically. It seems clear to me that we should teach the children less about the Law and more about how to Love. ❤️❤️❤️

I have spent a lot of time writing about the law and how mixing the law with the gospel of Christ will pervert that gospel and make those perverting the gospel accursed. Paul writes in Galatians 1:8: “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.” We need to understand how the law impacts our lives but we also need to understand the importance of Grace. Strong’s concordance defines New Testament Grace as “the Devine influence upon the heart and it’s reflection in the Life, producing thankfulness.”

Jesus had fulfilled the law one hundred percent. He fulfilled the law for us because we were incapable of keeping the law. Jesus became sin at the cross, let that sink in for a moment. Here is this pure and sinless man, righteous in every way, completely and totally blameless before God. But at the cross Jesus became every bit of filth, unrighteousness, evil sin that would ever exist. So much so that His Father could not look upon Him. Can you imagine what it would feel like, going from being one with your Heavenly Father to being completely separated from Him? As if being beaten beyond recognition and to the brink of death wasn’t enough, now to be separate from that Life, and becoming death. I cannot fathom the sorrow and loss. All to bring salvation to the entire world, from the very beginning to the very end of time. I think the word grace is thrown around rather casually these days. It is said without much thought of the true meaning. The Old Testament definition under the law meant “unmerited or Devine favor.” Let me state again what grace means for us under the new covenant, the New Testament definition of grace is “the Devine influence upon the heart and it’s reflection in the Life, producing thankfulness.” We should realize the price that was paid for you to have this grace.

The law cannot cause that Devine influence on the heart the way that Grace does. The law is weak through our flesh because it cannot regenerate our heart. Paul writes in Romans 8:3-4 that says: “For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” We will continue this study in tomorrow’s writing, looking in depth at how the righteousness of law is fulfilled in us.

Know that God loves you and His grace abounds❤️❤️❤️
