Ruben Cantu: Founder, CORE Media Enterprises & Executive Director, Austin+Social Good

Ruben Cantu is founder of CORE Media, a full-scale production company with a social focus. As a social entrepreneur, his ambitions are focused on establishing a platform through media that allows society to reflect on its condition and spur progressive change. Ruben is also the Executive Director of Austin +Social Good, a community based social good catalyst
which is part of the global Social Good Summit where he serves as a global connector. In addition, he is co-founder of WeAreAustinTech.com a video blog which covers the tech community in Austin.

Laura Donnelly: Co-founder & Chief Operating Officer Latinitas Magazine

Laura Donnelly is strongly dedicated to empowering Latina youth through media and technology. She manages the production of Latinitas magazine, program outreach and resource development for Latinitas. She is also a documentary filmmaker producing a short work titled, “Capirotada,” which was featured in South by Southwest Film Festival. Laura was named a YWCA of Austin Woman of the Year, “Leader of Promise” and was awarded the Young Women’s Alliance 40 Under 40
Award for her work empowering Hispanic girls and teens.

Andres Marquez-Lara: President & Passion CatalystPromethean Community

Andres Marquez-Larais a skilled facilitator who integrates his background in the fields of mental health, community engagement, and theater through the company he founded, Promethean Community LLC. They facilitate cross-sector partnerships that incorporate local artists to co-create innovative, engaging, sustainable solutions to social challenges in public health. Mandar Apte: Co-founder & Global Partnerships Director, Media Rise

Mandar Apte is passionate about leadership development and social innovation. He has been an invited speaker at TEDx, Knowledge@Wharton and Aspen Ideas Festival. He is the winner of the inaugural Ashoka League of Intrapreneurs for using meditation techniques to nourish innovation culture at Shell. He is a senior faculty member of leadership programs of the International Association for Human Values. Srivi Ramasubramanian: Associate Dean of Climate & Inclusion of the College of Liberal Arts and Associate Professor of Communication, Texas A&M University

Dr. Srivi Ramasubramanian is a media psychologist specializing in the effects of media messages on audiences’ attitudes relating to race/ethnicity and gender/sexuality. She is particularly interested in media for social good towards enhancing cultural diversity, prejudice reduction, and media literacy. She teaches courses on media processes & effects, global media & social change, women minorities & media, and media audiences. She also serves as the Executive Director of Media Rise, a global alliance for meaningful media.
