road closure information. Our partners at Cal Fire are making great progress, however there is still much work to be done; including hazard trees, mop up, and utility work along the Willow Glen Corridor burn area of this fire. We look forward to our afternoon briefing and hope for additional good news as they continue their hardwork in our community. Please heed road closures and remain out of the burn area to allow this important work to continue safely.

Alternate routes to head "up the hill" are La Porte Rd from Bangor, or Frenchtown Road from Oregon House.

How did you spend your 21st birthday? For this Smartsville firefighter she spent her 21st on the fire line. She has been on the engines covering and started her birthday afternoon by responding to the Iowa fire in the Colfax area. The engine was released and they were enroute to the cover station where she could at least enjoy a nice firehouse dinner when they were dispatched to the Glen fire in the Dobbins area. This firefighter has been a dedicated voulnteer with Smartsville and we wish her a very happy birthday.
