The Clifton Commoner A Journal of Sports and Competition Sports are more than just fun and games. Sports are the tangible expression of who we are.

Competition tells us much about human nature, individual character and our wider culture. In these pages, I’ll be talking mostly about my favorite sports, baseball and soccer, although I’m liable to get into anything. I’ll have a few things to say about my favorite teams and leagues too, although there are more than enough fine publications focused on those things with much more to contribute than

I have to offer (and I’ll be sure to link to them). Instead, I’ll be taking a writerly perspective. And what I’ll be doing is chronicling my journey as much as sharing my views. I’m glad you’re coming along for the ride.
