CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A person died this weekend after being shot near the Slavic Village.
Cleveland Police said the victim suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.
A suspect is in custody, Cleveland Police said.
EMS took the victim to MetroHealth, where they were pronounced deceased.

This shooting occurred near the 4000 block of E. 57th Street.
Cleveland Police Homicide Unit is investigating.

LAKEWOOD, Ohio (WOIO) - Two people died early Sunday morning in a serious two-vehicle crash in Lakewood.

Police said the crash occurred around 2:20 a.m. near Clifton Boulevard and Fry Avenue.

Officers found four people when they arrived at the crash, according to a release.

A driver and a passenger from one of the vehicles were pronounced dead on scene. Another passenger of that car was taken to Fairview Hospital for treatment.

EMS took the driver of a second vehicle to MetroHealth, according to a release.

Police haven’t yet released the identities of the deceased.

It is unknown if drugs and/or alcohol are a contributing factor, according to release.

Lakewood Fire Department and Ohio State Highway Patrol assisted in the crash.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A six-year-old boy and a three-year-old girl were thrown onto the street, after a man stole their mom’s car.

Cleveland police said the children were left inside a running vehicle in the 3200 block of W. 31 Street Wednesday.
Their mom told officers she had the key fob with her and didn’t think the car could be driven without it.

According to witnesses, after taking the vehicle, the car thief suspect stopped at Woodbridge Avenue and W. 32 Street and pushed the children out of the car.

Another driver saw what happened, put the kids in his car and called police.
The kids were not injured and have been reunited with their mom.

Police said the car thief remains on the loose and the vehicle, a 2007 dark blue Honda Accord has not been recovered.
The Honda has an Ohio temporary tag, L883622, a Ganley plate holder and a USMC sticker on it.

Police do not believe the vehicle can be restarted once it is turned off, since the mom has the key fob.

The car thief is only described as a white or Hispanic man, tall and skinny.

As temperatures in Cleveland remain in the teens to 20s, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner said that there have been seven winter-related deaths since Feb. 1 with five coming in the last five days. The majority of the cases involved homes where there was no heat.

“There has been a spike in cold-related deaths, particularly in the last week. Most of these individuals lacked working heat in their residence,” Dr. Thomas Gilson said in a press release.

“The county can assist with this issue and other programs related to the cold. Please check on older neighbors, especially those who may be more isolated due to the pandemic.”

Six of the seven deaths occurred in the city of Cleveland and one in Beachwood. All involved residents over the age of 53.

It's the most winter-related deaths in the county since 2009.

Van E. Terry the father of Shirellda Terry has passed away due to cancer on February 18th 2019.

Every one remember Shirellda? She fell victim to Cleveland serial killer Michael Madison. She and 2 other women were murdered and found amongst garbage in the summer of 2013.

The killer was sentenced to the death. At the sentencing the serial killer sat there with a smirk on his face. Van Terry Lunged at him in court but was stopped by officer's before he had a chance to get to him.

"I wanted to break his jaw," Terry said. "Get that grin off his face."...Cleveland felt his pain as he cried in court from the pain of losing his daughter. ~Sleep peacefully 😢

Abril Mills 28 yrs old was a mother, her main priority was her Son who she would do anything for.

She enjoyed her family, Basketball, doing hair and was a Phlebotomist. She was a very loving, caring and positive person.

Abril was at home, a place that suppose to be safe. In that same place she was murdered along side her best friend.

Who would do this?

Cleveland,Ohio— An 11 year old female was transported to 2500 Metro Health Dr. a little before Midnight Monday for a gunshot wound to the arm.

The Mother reported the incident occurred in the area of E 28/Cedar,
she stated 2 males were arguing and someone fired a shot.

Officers were unable to locate a crime scene, matter remains under investigation.

A 29 y/o male was shot in the foot and a 40 y/o female was shot in the ear.

During investigation two fi****ms and narcotics were recovered on scene. Remains under investigation
