During their four years with us at Rossview High School, students can become masters of photography, digital illustration, branding, and many other aspects of graphic design within our Academy of Media Arts & Technology (AMAT). Our program's primary goal is not only to help students discover and define their creativity as it applies to all areas of their education but also to prepare them for life

outside the walls of Rossview. The skills developed during this program will help them transition smoothly into any technical, collegiate, or professional experience that awaits them after high school graduation.

🎨✨ That’s a wrap on Create Camp 2025! ✨🎨

Over three days, our amazing middle school campers dove into color theory, typography, photography, and layout—then used their new skills to design their very own custom poster (and take it home as a keepsake!).

We’re thrilled to share that:
✅ 100% of campers loved the poster they created
✅ 100% said they’d attend a workshop like this again!

We had such a blast inspiring the next generation of creatives, and we’re so proud of everything they accomplished. 💪🖼️

🎉✨ Just in! Our Work-Based Learning students in the AMAT Academy have completed a truly special project — the CDC Yearbook! 💛📘

Created with heart and purpose, this professional print publication commemorates the year for our amazing CDC (Comprehensive Development Classroom) students here at RHS. Filled with candid photographs and heartfelt shoutouts, the CDC Yearbook is more than a book — it’s a keepsake celebrating joy, growth, and connection. 🫶📸

Our senior design students poured their creativity, design skills, and attention to detail into every page, gaining real-world experience in publication design while honoring their classmates in a meaningful way. 👏💼

This week in class, we’re bringing creativity to life—one custom logo at a time! Students used the .inc Cameo 4 vinyl cutter and heat press to create branded apparel from scratch.

They started with market research to define a target audience, then developed original product brands and custom logos using Adobe Illustrator. After cutting the designs with the Silhouette Cameo, they heat-pressed them onto apparel with the Cricut heat press.

From concept to completion, our students turned ideas into wearable art!

Our SkillsUSA chapter had an amazing time at the State Leadership and Skills Conference in Chattanooga last week! From smooth travels to staying steps away from the action, our first-ever trip to SLSC was packed with learning, teamwork, and incredible student growth.

👏 Huge congratulations to all our students who stepped up to compete in Advertising Design, Graphic Communications, Photography, Entrepreneurship, and Career Pathways Showcase — you represented our program with courage and creativity!

🏅 A special shoutout to Isabella Paet, Trinity Wells, and Bradley Roop, our Career Pathways Showcase team, who brought home 3rd place in Arts & Communications Careers category! We are beyond proud of your achievement and how you carried yourselves throughout the event.

This year was all about learning the ropes, and we’re already looking forward to building on this experience next year. Let’s go Hawks! 🛠️🎨✨

📀🎶 RHS Album Release Party – A Creative Collaboration! 🎨🎸

Our Digital Arts II and Music students rocked the RHS Library at today’s Album Release Party! 🤘✨ This incredible collaboration brought student musicians and designers together to create original songs and custom album cover art, showcasing their talent, creativity, and branding skills.

🎤 Live student performances set the stage while guests, including industry professionals and community leaders, explored stunning album designs displayed in CD jewel cases. Special thanks to our amazing attendees for celebrating the hard work and artistry of our students! 🎶👏

🌟 AMAT in the Spotlight! 🌟

Last month, AMAT teachers and students had the incredible opportunity to present to CMCSS Leadership, showcasing the many ways our program prepares students for careers in media, art, and technology. From specialized curriculum and industry-leading technology to dual enrollment, Adobe certifications, SkillsUSA competitions, and work-based learning, we highlighted the hands-on experiences that set AMAT apart!

Students from each grade level proudly displayed their best work and engaged with CMCSS Leadership, receiving valuable feedback and new opportunities for work-based learning. This meeting strengthened our connection to the community and sparked ideas for continued growth.

Huge thank you to CMCSS Leadership for your support in shaping the future of our AMAT students! 🙌✨

🚚✨ The Lumpia Queen rolled into Rossview High School yesterday, bringing not just her incredible Filipino cuisine but also her inspiring journey as a successful entrepreneur!

Our students had the unique opportunity to hear firsthand how she built her food truck business from the ground up, overcame challenges, and created a brand that keeps customers coming back for more. After learning from her experiences, students got to enjoy her delicious food—filling both their minds and their bellies!

This visit perfectly supports our students’ current project on branding and entrepreneurship. Right now, they’re hard at work designing their own food truck brands, complete with logos, custom menus, and 3D models. Soon, they’ll compete to see who created the most appealing food truck concept! Stay tuned for the big showdown!

A huge thank you to The Lumpia Queen for sharing her time, knowledge, and amazing food with us! We’re so grateful for this real-world learning experience. 🌟

🎉 AMAT 9th graders had an incredible learning experience at The City Forum with the marketing team from Project 2231!

Students got a behind-the-scenes look at how Project 2231 builds unique brand identities for its many businesses and markets to diverse audiences. From a facility tour to an in-depth discussion on brand storytelling, students gained valuable insights into the creative world of marketing.

Of course, no trip to The City Forum would be complete without some fun—after learning, students enjoyed bowling and arcade games!

A huge thank you to Project 2231 and The City Forum for hosting us and giving our students such an engaging and inspiring experience! 🎯🎳🎮

🎶📸 Our Digital Arts II students have been busy collaborating with music students to capture stunning photos that will complement original songs they’ve been writing! Check out some of the incredible shots taken in our class, showcasing the creativity and talent of our musician partners. 🎵

These photos will play a key role in the custom CD art our students are creating to help release their songs later this month. We can’t wait to see how these collaborations come to life—stay tuned for the big reveal! 💥✨
