This year's Hispanic Heritage Month with Louis Fowler wrapped up with La Venganza De Los Punks aka Vengeance of the Punks(1991). This is a sequel to last week's movie, Intrepidos Punks, and it is a step up in almost every way. Unfortunately it is also a step up in the scenes of sexual assault so just a heads up. Aside from that this is a fun movie. It still retains the dangerous and gonzo feel of the first movie but has a better story and production. This movie veers into horror territory as the vengeance filled cop from the first movie goes on a murderous rampage. The kill scenes are pretty creative and gory and well done. The memorable punks return and are given more to do this time. We really liked this world of Mexican punks these movies created and it was a neat wrap up to another great month with Louis. Thanks, Louis! We love you!

Hispanic Heritage Month with Louis Fowler continued with Intrépidos Punks(1988). This was barely a movie but it was enjoyable and memorable. The plot is almost non-existent as it is mostly scenes of a gang of punks causing mayhem. It is sleazy and gonzo and it has great energy. There are a couple of moments that really felt dangerous so that adds to the energy. A heads up is that there are some scenes of sexual assault that really detract from the movie because the tone is at odds. The soundtrack is fun with a catchy theme song for the punks. An entertaining movie overall.

Thanks so much for the kind folks at HorrorHound for having us again. We took a little break from doing the convention but it was so nice to be back. Had so much fun and loved seeing so many of our friends again. Can't wait for the next HHW and we hope to see you guys there!

Last night the HorrorHound Film Fest held a screening of Celephais, the short film from our pals Michael Neel and Joe Lemieux. The film was so effective and the filmmakers love of H.P. Lovecraft really showed. It also features legendary actor Tony Todd in one of his final roles. The Q&A with Michael and producer Jessica Dwyer was great as well. We are so happy for our friends and so impressed with their work. Awesome job, guys!
