Our "I.." theme month continued with the I Don't Understand You(2024). A dark comedy of errors that had moments of funny but not enough to save it. The main problem is that the lead characters are kinda annoying. Everything that happens to them is of their own doing and we could've overlooked it but they are unlikeable. The horror bits are amusing and are the best parts of the movie. The leads are okay but the supporting cast are much better. A decent enough movie overall.

This month's theme is movies that begin with "I.." and we kicked off with I Was A Teenage Werewolf(1957). This was a very influential movie but we wish it was a better movie. It does some twists on the classic werewolf lore but the ex*****on of it wasn't that great. The movie felt rushed at parts and too long in others so the pacing was off. The werewolf effects were meh as well. But it had some decent character development and it did make you sympathize with the teenage werewolf. Not the best movie but it was entertaining enough.

Our Hand horror theme month wrapped up with listener Nicki's pick, Coraline(2009). A modern day classic in our opinion! We just marvel at the craftsmanship and care put into this film. It is imagination on steroids and just pure magic. The visuals are backed up by a simple but effective story that doesn't spoon feed you the scary parts. A lot is left to the imagination which makes it even creepier. We also appreciate that the characters have dimension to them and are flawed. The score compliments the movie perfectly and the voice acting is also top notch. Love it! Thanks for the awesome pick, Nicki!
