This episode is absolutely fu***ng LEGENDARY. We talked to guitarist Mike and bassist Rick of Guns Up! Who were at the epicenter of one of the greatest hardcore scenes of all time during the early 2000’s. These guys could not have been more rad. We talk about a little bit of everything. From Covid to gear. The early days and what got them into hardcore and music in general. And we coined the term “fussy” which you’ll just have to listen. Hope you have plenty of time because this is a loooooong episode. I can’t say enough nice things about these guys. Guns Up! Has been a highly influential band to me (tugboat) since I was a teenager. This was an incredible opportunity and for that I am very thankful.

It’s been quiet.
Maybe a little too quiet.

Maybe it was a nice little break from us gabbin your friggin ear balls off.

Anywho it’s your old pal tugboat. I’ve had Covid and I am here to tell you that it is NO FU**IN JOKE BOYS. I was the most sick I’ve ever been in my life for waaaaaaay too long. But I’m upright and feeling decent again. Can’t taste any sandos so that sucks but I’m alive and as far as I can tell I don’t have any long staying issues. So with that being said we’ll be working on getting you some episodes here soon. I know you little s**t birds missed us. We had Jeremy Dunlop of The Mosh Zone. This was such an awesome experience. Getting some insight on what it was like for someone into metal and hardcore from THE OTHER SIDE OF THE EARTH! Such a bromance has been stirred up on this eppy. We gab about most everything and this is only part one of our chat. Jeremy is an absolute unit and just the sweetest dude. The Mosh Zone is one of the heads of the pack as far as heavy music podcasts go. He facilitates the origin stories for all of his guests and he has absolute top tier guests. Yesterday we uploaded our conversation with Rob Sullivan the vocalist of Ruiner. We talked about his time as a pro MMA fighter. He’s buying a gym and is a personal trainer. He told us so many stories and we got to talk about his influences in the band Bane. Rob couldn’t have been a more awesome dude. The absolute nicest and most respectful guy I think we’ve had yet. Truly an honor to have him on the show. So here it is, our episode where I “Tugboat” totally Fangirl over getting to talk to someone from Ruiner which is absolutely my favorite hardcore band band ever. Again it was so rad to get to talk to someone from one of my favorite bands and have that person be rad as f**k. We hope nothing but the best for Rob and everyone at the Ruiner camp.

We brought the D today boys and it’s a girthy D. That’s right it’s Dan Terry of the Discography Discussion podcast. Man was this a long episode but it was one of our favorite ones yet. I really can’t put Dan and everyone over at his camp over enough for the work they do. Such good people. An excellent community. It’s an honer to be one amongst the pack with you boys.
