Howdy folks, Brad here, Station Manager at AllOldies24/7. 🎙️

I usually let our amazing social media crew handle the website, streaming partner pages, and all the platforms we’re on… but every now and then I like to pop in personally and give you an update straight from the source.

Unfortunately, this one’s not the happiest update. We had announced that our new website would be launching just before Christmas. Between the holidays, real life, and the usual chaos that comes with running as many radio stations as we do, we’ve hit some delays in getting it across the finish line.

At this point, it’s looking like the new AllOldies24/7 website won’t be ready until well into the new year. I want to be very clear: that’s on me. As the sole programmer for Ventra Radio and the person handling day-to-day operations, I’ve had to make some tough choices about where my time goes. Keeping the stations on the air, sounding great, and living up to what our listeners expect from us has to come first.

On top of that, we’re dealing with some staffing shortages, which means the website has had to take a back seat for the moment. It’s not what I wanted, and it’s not what we promised, and for that I sincerely apologize.

My priority as the Director of Communications at Ventra Radio will always be our stations and our listeners — above profits, above convenience, and yes, even above getting a shiny new website out on time. We also remain deeply committed to honoring Bruce’s vision and keeping this station running the way he intended. Albeit with the addition of it being over the air in multiple markets.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for sticking with us, for listening, and for continuing to support AllOldies24/7 and Bruce’s family and loved ones. Your loyalty means more than you know, and it’s the reason we keep pushing forward — website delays and all. 💚

In addition, I personally wish each and every one of you a very happy holiday season, a merry Christmas, a happy Hanukkah, and a prosperous new year. Barring some major event, my next post directly to you will most likely be in 2026! See you on the other side!

ICYMI:

AllOldies24/7 and Ventra Radio will be doing some major behind the scenes maintenance next week, November 23-30. Our facilities are being completely rewired and upgraded to support the brand new website we are planning to launch within the few months (sorry we're a bit behind with everything going on), and to get ready for our new sister station, Rewind FM [Millennial Radio], which will debut on January 1, 2026 in Valdosta, GA.

This work is not just about updating the studios. We are strengthening our entire network, upgrading critical equipment, and working toward our long term goal of achieving true zero downtime for AllOldies24/7 and future services.

During this period, the station will originate from a temporary studio starting in the early morning hours of Sunday, November 23. Our transmitters will be fed via a temporary microwave link only, which means we will not be able to reliably send that signal to the internet.

Because of this, our online streams may behave differently throughout the week. At times they may sound normal, be spotty, or be completely unavailable. What you experience will depend entirely on when you try to listen and where our engineers are in the process. Our systems are configured to automatically come back online as equipment is reconnected, so you may see the streams drop and return while work is underway.

Our engineering team has also been instructed that if they are unable to finish the work before 5:00 PM on Wednesday, November 26, they will at minimum bring the station fully back on the air, if it is not already, so that our listeners can enjoy AllOldies24/7 for the holiday. Any remaining work will then resume on Friday, November 28 (Black Friday), and continue through the end of the maintenance window if necessary.

We chose this maintenance window because most of our staff will be at home with their families for the holiday, which gives our engineering team more physical space and flexibility to safely get everything done. Due to the logistics involved, this work had to be scheduled roughly four months in advance. In the past, we have cancelled planned maintenance windows to maintain a high level of availability for our listeners, but this round of upgrades is necessary to support future growth and stability.

We do currently have a player available for your listening pleasure at www.alloldies247.com, but please keep in mind that availability may be affected during this maintenance window.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and we truly appreciate your patience and continued support as we invest in the future of AllOldies24/7 and Rewind FM.

Did you know? 🎙️

AllOldies24/7 actually started out as two different stations!

When Ventra Radio acquired the station from the Nickles estate, we already had an oldies station serving Central New York called Oldies 89.7. For about six months after the acquisition, we operated Oldies 89.7 and AllOldies24/7 as separate stations.

Each station had its own unique quirks. AllOldies24/7 was built to be non-stop music — 24/7 oldies with minimal interruptions and minimal on-air chatter. Just wall-to-wall hits. Oldies 89.7 had its own operational flavor and some pretty cool behind-the-scenes tricks that still influence how we run things today.

Here’s a fun insider secret 👇

If you’re listening to our online feed (which comes from the Valdosta flagship station) and you suddenly hear our top-of-the-hour banner with the call letters, followed by “Still the One” by Orleans, that’s not random.

That’s actually a signal to our engineers that something at the studio isn’t quite right. When an issue is detected, the system automatically switches from the main playout system to a secondary backup system to keep the music on the air. We also have internal systems that send out-of-band alerts from the studio to our engineers so they can check on things behind the scenes.

If the problem clears automatically, the station will test itself after about 15 minutes. When that happens, you’ll hear the top-of-the-hour banner again (which we’re required to play each time we switch the origin of the station), followed by “December 1963 (Oh, What a Night)” by Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons. That’s our cue that the system has successfully reset and is back to normal.

So why those two songs? 💛

They’re actually carryovers from Oldies 89.7, and they mean a lot to us. Frankie Valli was the favorite artist of Brad’s late mother (Brad is our owner and station manager). She loved all of his hits, and “December 1963” is a tribute to her and her love for the music we play.

“Still the One” by Orleans was Brad’s parents’ wedding song, long before his mother’s passing in 2018. Using it as our “backup indicator” is our way of quietly honoring that connection every time it plays in that role.

So those songs aren’t just technical markers — they’re part of our story, our history, and our heart.

In 2023, we made a big move: Oldies 89.7 (which had been broadcasting since 1997) was merged into AllOldies24/7, which became our flagship oldies brand and now serves as the universal HD-2 channel for our radio stations across the nation.

When you listen to AllOldies24/7, you’re not just hearing great oldies — you’re hearing a station built on family, history, engineering creativity, high-tech nerdy gadgets, and a whole lot of love for this music. 💿📻

Most people don’t realize our studios are located in the Valdosta Metro Area, Georgia! 🌟

Did you also know this area is home to one of the most intense high school football rivalries in the entire U.S.? Every year, the Lowndes Vikings and the Valdosta Wildcats face off on the field, and it’s more than just a game—it’s a clash of tradition, pride, and decades of competition. Alumni, families, and the whole community get invested, making every matchup heated.

While the Vikings historically rank behind the Wildcats, they’re quickly climbing the rankings, and last year Lowndes went undefeated, throwing Valdosta for a loop and adding another chapter to this legendary rivalry! 🏈🔥

The Valdosta Metro Area has a population of around 152,500 people, a median age of 34.7 years, and over 55,500 households. It’s a thriving community with strong ties to education, healthcare, and local business—making it the perfect home for our studios.

🎉 Big News from AllOldies24/7! 🎶

We’re thrilled to unveil our brand-new logo! This fresh look represents where we’re headed as a station — growing, evolving, and building on Bruce’s original vision that started it all.

As you may have heard, we’re also hard at work on a brand-new website, set to launch around Thanksgiving 2025. You’ll start seeing our new logo everywhere as we gear up for that launch, expand our reach, and continue promoting the music you love.

You might’ve noticed some on-air updates too — including new call letters for our HD2 channel right here in Valdosta, GA. And that’s just the beginning! We’re planning even more exciting on-air additions in the months ahead.

We’re also looking to bring new voices to AllOldies24/7 — both local and remote hosts who share our passion for great oldies and great radio. If you’ve ever dreamed of being on air, stay tuned — we’ll be posting details soon about how you can join the team!

⚠️ Attention Listeners:

If you’re experiencing issues streaming our station from another website, please visit www.alloldies247.com before reporting a problem.

After relocating our broadcasting facilities from Michigan to New York, and later to Georgia, some third-party sites never updated their listings despite our efforts.

👉 Always check our official website first — it’s the only verified and official feed. All other sources are best-effort only.

It’s been an incredibly busy few months here at All Oldies 247! We’ve been pouring most of our free time and energy into bringing our brand-new website to life, and we honestly can’t wait for you to see it. This is just a little sneak peek of what’s coming your way.

We know a lot of you have been asking for this ever since before our move from New York to Georgia. We completely understand how important it is, it’s the easiest way for you to connect with us and enjoy the music you love. The truth is, we just haven’t had the dedicated staff to make it happen any sooner. Running two simultaneous streams of the same station between two very different and distant radio markets comes with a lot of moving parts, not all of which like to work seamlessly sometimes.

For those who know Brad, our owner and resident tech genius, you know he has been itching to have this site up for months and for it to be perfect. It’s been in the works for a few months now, and it’s coming together beautifully. We’re aiming for a soft launch sometime after Thanksgiving, with the full launch planned just around or just before Christmas 2025.

We appreciate your patience, and we promise it will be worth the wait. We’re excited to share this next step with all of you and bring All Oldies 247 even closer to where you are.

We pause to honor and remember the lives lost, the heroes who gave everything, and the families forever changed on September 11, 2001. Twenty-four years later, the weight of that day is still felt deeply across our nation. At Ventra Radio, we stand in remembrance of the resilience, courage, and unity that carried us forward in the aftermath. May we never forget the sacrifices made, and may we continue to live with the same spirit of strength and compassion that defined that moment in history.

Apologies for the short notice. We were just informed that our internet streams will be going offline this morning for a good portion of the day (8/12/25) start at 8:30a. They're expected to return either late tonight or tomorrow in the early hours of the morning.

This will not affect our FM streams. We apologize for the short notice again.

📣 In Case You Missed It!

Big things are happening behind the scenes here at AllOldies247! 🎶

Our parent company has been hard at work adding redundancy and resiliency to our main studios right here in sunny Valdosta, GA. ☀️ Today, we installed a brand new standby generator to make sure we can stay on the air no matter what Mother Nature throws our way! ⚡️

Over the next few weeks, you might notice some brief interruptions to our online streaming as our engineers take certain systems offline, rework them to be more fault-tolerant, and bring them back better than ever. This won’t affect our FM substreams or HD repeaters—just the online feeds.

🎧 We appreciate your patience while we improve things on our end. We know it’s frustrating when the music stops, but rest assured, we're doing everything we can to keep AllOldies247 rockin' steady and sounding great 24/7!

Thanks for listening — and for being part of the AllOldies247.com family! 💛
