Hey there. It's Justin. I started a new label with a couple of friends of mine called Solid Brass Records. File 13 Records may be a little quiet for a bit since I've been running File 13 by myself pretty much, but we do have some stuff in the works on our own and in partnership with Solid Brass. FILE 13 HAS SIGNED THE SUPERGROUP CRUSHED ICE!

As the globe went into lockdown in early 2020, Dave Laney (Milemarker, Challenger, Auxes) reached out to a handful of long time friends and collaborators, pitching the idea of an Exquisite Corpse-style recording project with the promise that all involved could get as weird as needed – and they all needed to get weird.

Beginning with John Crouch (Horseback, Caltrop, Solar Halos, Auxes) and Peter Hess (Philip Glass Ensemble, Slavic Soul Party, Balkan Beat Box, Barbez, Songs:Ohia), the band quickly expanded to include Franz Nicolay (The Hold Steady), Rachel Hirsh (solo, I Was Totally Destroying It, Bruxes) and H.C. McEntire (solo, Mount Moriah, Bellafea).

To honor the radness of Bandcamp waiving their fees periodically this year including tomorrow, and to throw a middle finger up to the year 2020 itself, we are releasing two new singles before the end of the year, on December 4th!

We are mega-stoked to announce the first track, “Patterns Per Partition” by Forever Era, a collaboration between Justin Sinkovich (The Poison Arrows, Acquaintances, ABPK, Thumbnail), Yukio Murata (My Way My Love) and Adam Reach (The Poison Arrows, Pink Avalanche).

We also have two brand new horror-inspired tracks by Sheet Ghosts that follow up and compliment the ‘Did It Ever Happen EP’ we released a few weeks ago. In addition to the crew from the EP, the FT106 is the ‘Moon Eats Sun’ single includes our friend Matt Jencik who has played with bands like Implodes, Hurl, Don Caballero, and Slint.
